Our Technology

Our technology is based on Unity, the well known game engine adopted by a large number of teams around the world. Unity has been customized to produce a set of visual tools deeply focused on the production of point and click adventure games, with more advanced features and better usability in comparison to other products available on the market.

The engine includes a visual scripting tool based on uScript by Detox Studios. Designers can script every scene in a fast and easy way.

Walkable and inaccessible areas can be de!ned visually, adding sections directly from the design view.

Every character can automatically !nd its way from a point to another one, calculating the path using walkable areas, avoiding obstacles and inaccessible areas.

Visually de!ned custom events can be dispatched whenever needed, allowing the script to react to trigger activations, player interactions and much more.

The camera can be set to !nd the perfect point of view, with parallax effect support and automatic panning for large environments.

Real time dynamic lighting of the characters is supported by de!ning light sources in the design view.

The perspective of a scene can be visually de!ned, allowing dynamic scaling of the characters based on their position on the screen.

The same version of the game can run on different devices with varying resolutions.

The engine supports full dubbed dialogues and surround audio, calculated using the positions of the sound source and the main character.

The game can be simply localized for both dubbed speech and on screen text, with full support for Asian languages like Korean, Chinese and Japanese.

Dream Chamber is a classic point and click adventure with a peculiar hand drawn style and many innovative features. The story is set during the 30s in an unnamed American city, with spreading corruption and organized crime that force the introduction of the Prohibitionism.

Charlie Chamber is an unconventional private detective, bored and billionaire, that started to investigate only as an hobby to add a mystery vibe in his life. The game is structured in episodes and the !rst one introduces the Chambers and the Thrademakus, two of the well known families of the city, that will cross their destinies in the !rst important investigation for Charlie. The Service Society is machinating something and the power of the three Kairos will be in danger.

and the dynamic mood system

The Dream Chamber is a mental state of Charlie, a sort of non existent place in which he can exploits his kind of Eidetic Memory and explore during the sleep the locations he already visited. In this way he can !nd new clues and see everything from a different point of view, pushing on the investigation and guessing details that could have been slipped in the !rst place.

Charlie has a peculiar personality and his mood can change rapidly during the game. A minigame, based on the choice of the right sequence of sentences, is used sometimes to convince the opponent in helping Charlie out. Every battle modi!es the mood of Charlie and his feelings, having impact on the evolution of the story, the dialogues and the ending.
