Summer Interns Begin Work

Touring the site are 24 interns who started on June 2. Four interns attend Colorado State University (CSU), CSU-Pueblo, University of Colorado, University of Northern Colorado.

Munitions Service Magazines

Operators test for forklift operations and munitions movement in one of the Munitions Service Magazines. Testing will determine storage amounts and capabilities.

Agent Processing Building

Operations staff will take hydrolysate samples from this glovebox. Treaty inspectors will ensure that the mustard agent has been destroyed according to treaty standards.

Enhanced Reconfiguration Building

Workers are preparing for a System Demonstration Plan for the Explosion Containment Rooms. As a result, the feed conveyor, pictured above, which is part of the Projectile Mortar Disassembly system, will be turned over to Operations to begin the Optimization phase of the process.

Bechtel Systems and Infrastructure, Inc. President Craig Albert recently took a tour of the PCAPP facility. Startup Specialist Bill Baugh explains the systemization process for the Munitions Treatment Unit.

PCAPP Teams Walk for A Cause

More than $6,200 was raised for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life on June 6. A total of 34 employees formed three teams to walk.

Before. These four sections were among the first modules to arrive May 29,

signaling the start of vertical construction and changing the look of the PCAPP EDS site.

After. Seamed together, the separate units join as one structure that will comprise

the PCAPP EDS Command Post. Other units now arrived and installed include the Change House and Treaty Trailer. The Entry Control Facility and Dilute Laboratory are close behind.

The first of the two Environ-mental Enclosures that will house the PCAPP EDS units arrived on June 19. Within three days, the metal super-structure was up and fabric pulled tight over the frame.

EDS just became a bit more real for PCAPP workers, who can now see the first Environmental Enclosure (inset above) from the PSB parking lot.
