  • 1. Memories of your life captured as lasting works of art become, family heirlooms.

2. Excellence At the age of 16 Nikki was commissioned as an artist for the first time. Nikki has been working part- time as an artist since 1989 and full-time for the last 15 years. 3. What is the difference between a traditional portrait and the situational type portraits Nikki paints? A traditional portrait usually includes only the head and shoulders of the subject and a simple draped background. 4. Nikki Jacquin has become known for her special brand of portrait work which is suited to her favourite subject children. Nikki Prefers a situational type portrait. One in which there is interaction between the subjects and their environment or between the people. 5. Her aim is to tell a story about childhood and family life as well as achieve a likeness. Her paintings include impromptu casual settings meaningful to your family. 6. Do I need to sit for the artist? Do I need current photos? Spending valuable time sitting for your portrait is not necessary. Nikki works from your family photographs. 7. Nikki will meet with you to select the best elements from several of your photos. She will combine them for a pleasing composition. It is possible to combine people from separate photos. Time and distance are no longer barriers. 8. It is not necessary to have current photos. Nikki suggests that it is most important to select photos which will result in a painting that evokes a special memory. 9. Your Choice of Mediums. Choose graphite pencil for black and white drama, 10. or choose the fluidity and spontaneity of watercolour. 11. Acrylic is preferred by those most concerned with the longevity of a work. If damaged by water or jabbed through, an acrylic on stretch canvas can be repaired. 12. Preservation of your work of art. Each work of art is framed with the highest quality framing to ensure the longevity of your heirloom. Only acid-free materials are used. 13.
