1.• The protagonist in my music video is a young blonde girl. The first couple of shots of the music video is of the girl

sat on her bed looking through a magazine. There will be extreme close ups of the girl’s watery eyes and close ups of the skinny, pretty girls in the magazine she is looking at.

• Shots of her at school will show viewers her watching a group of pretty girls and a good looking guy laughing. Close ups, upward tilts and downward tilts will show the clothes the pretty girls are wearing.

• Later on at home the girl gets a text message from a friend, inviting her to a party. Her friend mentions the name of the good looking guy and that he will be at the party.

• A short montage edit of the girl going shopping, putting on make up and doing her hair makes the audience think that she is going to make herself look like the pretty girls she saw at school so that the boy she likes will notice her.

• When she turns up to the party, she is not wearing any of the things we saw her putting on as she was getting ready, letting the audience know that she has decided to be herself and not pretend to be like the pretty girls at school.

• Even though she does not look like the popular, pretty girls at her school, the boy she likes still notices her at the party.

2.• A young girl is seen drinking alcohol and smoking cigarette’s. She has dark bags under her eyes showing that

she is tired and not taking care of herself and is depressed.

• Shots of her at school show that she sits alone and is an outcast as the people around her look at her strangely.

• Her appearance is much different from the other girls at her school and this is shown by having the two in the same shot. The other girls are feminine whereas the girl is acting like she wants to start a fight with them.

• Shots of her at home show her crying whilst drinking alcohol and smoking a cigarette.

• The girl is seen sitting on a bridge by herself, staring ahead at the water. She texts her friend asking if she can talk to her and waits for the response. A time lapse of the girl sitting there on the bridge is shown by the sky turning darker. Finally, the girls gets up slowly and starts walking towards the edge of the bridge. A close up of her hand gripping the railing shows she is about to climb it. There will be a close up of her foot getting ready to climb the railing.

• Just as she is about to fully climb on to the railing, she gets a message on her phone which is on the bench behind her. A close up of the text message shows that her friend has replied to her message with ‘Of course, come over’. The girl smiles as she realises that there is someone that cares about her and just stopped her from ending her life.

3.• The whole music video is a montage edit of different types of girls (white, black, skinny, curvy) looking sad at the

beginning. At the beginning of the video, they are all seen trying on clothes and putting on makeup trying to make themselves look and feel prettier.

• In each of the girls’ clips, something happens to them in the middle of the music video that makes them grateful for what they have and that they should be happy that they are alive and healthy.

• Nearing to the end of the video, each of the girls look much happier and are all smiling whilst walking confidently in public because they are happy with the way they look and no longer want to change anything about themselves.
