• Tuesday Sept 9th: Last day to add or change course sections

• Sunday Sept 21st: Withdrawal Period Begins. “W” grade is assigned to students who officially drop a course

• Wednesday Oct 8th: Last day to apply for Fall 2014 Graduation

• Tuesday Nov 4th: Last day to officially withdraw from a course

• Nov 27th – Nov 30th: College closed for Thanksgiving holiday

• Sunday December 7th- Last day of Fall Session I classes

• Dec 9th – Dec 15th: Final Examinations

NEW TEXTBOOK POLICY• $600 per academic year

• Any costs beyond $600 you will be responsible for (semester/year)

• Rental/E-Book/Purchase options

• Cash buy-back system for returning purchased books

• Textbook rentals must be guaranteed with a Credit/Debit card

MAXIMIZING THE ASAP TEXTBOOK POLICY

Purchase downloadable E-Books- E-books are often cheaper, and can be used on all smart devices like phones, tablets and laptops.

Rentals- Cost effective method of getting textbooks, but must be returned by the designated due date to avoid replacement fees on your debit/credit

Buy used- Saves you $$$, especially if you plan to keep your texts

• Examine your book purchases

• Take care your books!!!

• Don’t get them wet• Take care of the book

• Save your buy-back money

• Use your buy-back money to purchase books for future sessions

METROCARD POLICY• Be compliant with all ASAP policies

confirmed by your advisor

• Your name must be on the eligibility list which is provided by the ASAP team to the Bursar's Office

• Show a valid LaGuardia Community College Student ID with a sticker indicating the current term. Students who do not have a valid college ID should visit the ID office in room C-101

• Students will be required to get a voucher from their advisor during group meetings and will need to turn in the voucher to the Bursar's Office (C110

Acceptance of credits are subject to department approval. Some courses may be accepted at LaGuardia Community College but may not transfer to

senior colleges. Some additional credits may not be applied at LaGuardia Community College but may be

transferrable at senior colleges. A maximum of 30 transfer credits (including CLEP) and 10 exemption credits (including

ELA and C.P.L. may be utilized at LaGuardia Community College.
