What is an MCTS? Answer:
The Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certifications enable professionals to target specific technologies and to distinguish themselves by demonstrating in-depth knowledge and expertise in their specialized technologies. An MCTS is consistently capable of implementing, building, troubleshooting, and debugging a particular Microsoft technology.

The Professional Series credential validates a comprehensive set of job-related skills, such as project management, system design, operations management, and planning. Microsoft Certified Architect (MCA)
What is a MCA?
Answer:
A Microsoft Certified Architect (MCA) is considered an industry expert in IT architecture with five or more years of advanced experience and proven technical expertise and leadership. To obtain the MCA credential, you must definitively demonstrate seven competencies of business acumen and technological proficiency during a Review Board interview with a panel of industry experts. Note that Master certification is a prerequisite for all (MCA) certifications.

• Once Passed You Achieve The Following Two Certifications:
1. Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: Windows Vista – Configuration

Upgrade from MCSA & MCSE on Server 2003 to Server 2008
1. Take Relevant MCSA or MCSE Transition Exams for Server 2008.
Achieves: MCSA = 2 MCTS’s
MCSE = 3 MCTS’s.
2. Then Transition from MCTS to MCITP Server Administrator (2 Exams) or MCITP Enterprise Administrator (4 Exams).

2. Choose IT Certification, followed by Microsoft Exams. (Most Microsoft Exams are $125 USD.)
3. Locate Exam and Testing Centre. (MicroAge is the only Prometric Centre in Regina.)
4. Choose Date & Time of Exam. (Mon-Fri 8:30-3:30)
5. Set-Up Account and Pay for Exam. (Credit Card Only.)
6. Attend Our Office with 2 Forms of ID on Date/Time Chosen.
