Literacy:
For the half-term holiday, we would like you to support the children with
preparing for the World Book Day on 5th
March (children to dress up as a
book character) and the poetry competition in March. Kindly read the
newsletter for further details.
Humanities:
For the next topic, the Romans, we would like the children to make a Roman
shield. We have included some examples below. I am sure they will as
always use their creativity and ingenuity as they have showed with previous
projects!
Art/DT:
Year 3 are going to be doing block painting and embroidery. To make this a
practical and useful exercise, we would like to order cotton tote bags. Kindly
please contribute £1 towards the cost in cash to your class teacher by the due
date.
Film Competition: Can you write a storyboard to share a story? The theme
for this is Change. When you hear the word ‘change’, what do you think
about? Is it the change to the global climate and the melting ice caps or is it
the importance of recycling? You may be thinking of the changes of the
seasons as autumn turns into spring or is it about baking, where the raw
ingredients once put in an oven change into a yummy cake! Be creative.
In no more than 8 boxes, create a storyboard about Change.
