WelcomeWe are very glad to have you worshiping our gracious God with us today.

Flowers The flowers are given today to the glory of God from the wedding of Meaghan O’Toole and Wesley Bussey.

To Our Guests,We especially welcome you today! More information about our church is available on our website at firstpresaugusta.org.

Spiritual CareIf you would like to speak to someone about what it means to know Jesus Christ or you have any spiritual need or question, please use one of the prayer cards in the pew rack to contact one of our pastors. Our church elders are also available to speak with you. An elder will be standing next to the pastor following the service.

Children’s Check-inWe are committed to the highest level of protection possible for the children placed in our care on Sundays and at all church events. For this reason, we require parents of newborns through fifth grade children to check in their children before they go to the nursery, Sunday School, Catechism, Children’s Church or any other children’s activity. Several kiosks are available in the Welcome Center. The process is quick and easy, and volunteers are available if you need assistance checking in.

Children’s WorshipWe offer a specially designed program for children in pre-k through fourth grade during the morning services. A leader will escort children from the sanctuary to their classrooms during the hymn of preparation. Parents are welcome to accompany them to observe where to pick them up after the service. Parents of children in pre-k through second grade are asked to pick up their children following Sunday School or the 11 a.m. worship service.

Nursery Nurseries are provided for infants and toddlers during the worship services and Sunday School. We also provide a Mother/Infant Room located beside Nursery 1 which is equipped with live video feed of the worship services. Ushers are available to direct you.

Additional Seating Additional seating for morning and evening worship services is available each week in St. Andrew’s Hall.

As stewards of God’s resources, we try not to print an excess of bulletins. We invite you to bring this bulletin with you when you return for the evening service.

The Prelude—Amazing Love ......................................................arr. Mary McDonald

†The Call to Worship .......................................................................Revelation 7:10-11Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb. Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God forever and ever. Amen!

The Lord be with you.And with your spirit.Let us worship God!

And did those feet in ancient time Walk upon Israel’s mountains green? And did the Christ of heaven come down? Was God in flesh both heard and seen? And did he die to prove his love? And did he rise more powerful still? And was his rule on earth started thereUpon Golgotha’s tragic hill?

Bring me my bow of burning gold!Bring me my arrows of desire!Bring me my spear! O clouds unfold!Bring me my Chariot of Fire!I will not cease to spread his light; My faith a shield, his Word my sword;’Til Christ, my God, is crowned as King,And all the earth shall own him Lord!

The ResponseThe grass withers and the flowers fall,But the Word of our God stands forever.

The Psalter Lesson .............................................................................Psalm 37:1-18, 34-40page 874 in the pew Bible

†The Confession of Faith ......................................................................Apostles’ CreedI believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell.* The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic** church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

†The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s PrayerOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

The Assurance of Pardoning Grace ..................................................... Proverbs 28:13Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.

Gracious Father, let your ear now be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer of your servants. We have acted very corruptly against you and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the ordinances which you commanded your servants. Lord, do not punish us because we have done foolishly and have sinned. Our iniquities have risen higher than our heads, and our guilt has mounted up to the heavens. O our God, listen to the prayers of your servants and our pleas for mercy, and for your own sake, O Lord, make your face to shine upon your sanctuary. We pray this through our Blessed Lord Jesus, Amen. (Taken from various Old Testament Passages)
