  • Caroline Rea Bramlett Age 73, a resident of Stilwell, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in Stilwell. She was born March 5, 1944 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of Ree Clark and Betty Jane (Bennett) Holland.

She married Phil Bramlett in Highfill, Arkansas, on June 17, 1962.

Caroline and her husband Phil owned and operated Phil's Country Fare Restaurant in Westville for 24 years, prior to that she was a Tupperware Manager for 16 years.

She always enjoyed decorating on the Holiday's, especially Christmas, Baking, Canning, Sewing and making sure Birthday's were special for everyone. She loved collecting Spode Christmas dishes, jewelry, only wearing Chanel’5 perfume, and loved the color blue.

Caroline was a woman who knew what she wanted, when she wanted it and how. That made her Caroline.

She was preceded in death by her husband Phil Bramlett, her father Ree Clark Holland, one granddaughter Erin Rissler, one sister Charlotte Harwell, and brother-in-law Jerry Harwell.

Survivors include one son Lee Bramlett; two daughters Stephanie Roberts and Michelle Worley; her mother Betty Jane Holland; two "adopted" children Trina Burdge, Sgt. 1st Class James Roberts; one brother Roger Holland; eight grandchildren Chantee Redding, Emily Funk, Brooke Piel, Ida Rose Bramlett, Shannon Sumpter, Micah Rissler, Maegan Ellison and Kendra O'Dell; five "adopted" grandchildren Nick Adair, Emilee Burdge, Anthony Roberts, Reagan Roberts and Kallie Roberts; great grandchildren Liam Funk, Jett Rissler, Leila Rissler, Jordan, Parker, Kaylee and Stryker Sumpter, Ellie O'Dell, and Haezel Ellison and one "adopted" great grandchild Nicole Adair, and several nieces, nephews and friends.

I’ve know Caroline, a.k.a. Granny for over 32 years. She and Phil have been there thru deaths, births, birthdays, holidays weddings, all the highs and lows. They were loyal, true compassionate friends to both me and my children. My kids grew up assuming all kids had three or four sets of grandparents.

Six years ago Caroline and I both lost loved ones precious and dear to us, both my mother “Renie” and Phil. Caroline found her future uncertain and reached out in need. I accepted this plea out of gratitude to be able to repay a dear friend for all her past love and kindness.

It wasn’t until these last few months of failing health , that I realized this was all part of God’s plan. I have come to realize just how very much she meant to me and how I equally needed and loved her. Blood makes you a relative but true Love and Friendship makes you FAMILY. Some children, less fortunate never experience having loving parents. I was blessed with two sets and my children with an extra set of grandparents.

Caroline you will always hold a special place in my heart, thanks for your unconditional love. I will always love you and never forget you.

    Trina Sgt. James Roberts Comments:

If it wasn’t for Phil and Caroline, I wouldn’t be the person I am today or have the career I’ve pursued without their love and encouragement. They were my “bonus” parents. Caroline I will always remember the good times our lunch dates and all the love you showed me and my family and I’ll never forget the way you could “Rock” those blue Ray Ban Sunglasses.

    Love Always James

Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth

as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,

    forever. Amen.

The LORD is my Shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths

of righteousness for His name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me: Thy rod and Thy staff

    they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence

    of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil;

    my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:

and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
