Welcome to AVC meet 3

On behalf of the board Members of AVC, we are welcoming you to our third annual scientific gathering at Hilton King’s Ranch Hotel, Alexandria on 13-15 April 2017. AVC MEET 3 - The Alexandria vascular surgery meeting is held in collaboration with department of vascular surgery, Alexandria university and department of vascular surgery, Brest university, France This year is an interactive program which includes many workshops like EVAR Simulation, Wound Management for Nurses, Venus Duplex, & Basic Surgical Skills

Three Days of interactive discussion on vascular medicine with special focus on Diabetic Foot, Peripheral Arterial Disease, EVAR & TEVAR and Venous Disorders and there is special program for Nursing

Program will go through the following tracks Challenging Cases & Clinical Scenarios, Guidelines, Controversies & Updates and Round Table Discussion

Comprehensive presentation of in-hospital structure, equipment, staff, proceedings, advanced techniques, safety measures, international guidelines, protocols, etc… will be part of the program.

National and International eminent speakers will share to make the scientific program up to the most advanced level of evidence.

AVC meet 3 is accredited by American Association of Continuing Medical Education (AACME)

EVAR Simulation Workshop

What is The course?

Servier Vascular Interventional Fellowship Course

• Objective of the training course:

1-To grasp the highest performance of endovascular training Simulator

using Mentice device (#1 Simulator worldwide)

2-This module teaches how to correctly insert, position and deploy a AAA

stent graft system, either consisting of two parts (main graft and

contralateral extension leg) or of three parts (main graft plus both ipsilateral

and contralateral extension legs).

3-Other learning objectives include; handling of

stenotic iliac arteries, deployment of additional

extensions, embolization of the internal iliac

arteries, management of endoleaks and

deployment of stent grafts in anatomies with

highly angulated aneurysm necks.

The course consists of 2 parts:

- Theoretical part (1h): group teaching

- Practical training (45 min): single candidate

• On successful completion of the course you will be awarded 3.75

CME hours class A certificate which will be provided by servier company.

A 6 cm AAA was discovered during CT

scan for

suspicion of kidney stones.

Medical History

No Diabetes. Hypertension.

Hysterectomy performed 20 years ago.

Venous Duplex Ultrasound Workshop

Main Objectives:

2 hours hands on training on real patient to asses superficial and

deep venous system.

It Includes a Separate Session for Injection Sclerotherapy (Live in A

Box)

Basic Surgical Skills Workshop Main Objectives:

This workshop is dedicated to help the junior surgical trainees and house officers to get acquainted with the different kinds of suturing materials and techniques.

It is a 3 hours hands on training on artificial skin and flesh as well as synthetic grafts for Vascular and non-vascular suturing techniques

Wound Dressing for Nurses Workshop Main Objectives:

This is a workshop designed for nursing staff

To update Nurse Staff with Modern Techniques

Guidelines for the management of Chronic Wounds
