In its Europe 2020 strategy, the EU Commission stressed the importance of healthy and active ageing, and 2012 is The European Year of Active Ageing and the Solidarity between Generations.

EDEN has therefore chosen Open Learning Generations as the theme for this conference.

• 20 % (31) from outside Europe. Best represented are USA (9), Israel (5) and Brazil (4).

• Well represented European countries: Portugal (19), UK (13), Italy (9), Germany (8), Russian Federation (7) and Belgium (6).
