We are a nurturing and open church to all who enter into our Sanctuary.
We base our ministry on the Word of God and a caring spirit. Jesus
invites us to share our ministry to all that come into our church.
“To make Disciples of Jesus Christ for the
Transformation of the World”
Mother’s Day - May 14
“Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” Proverbs 31:28Mother’s Day is a holiday honoring motherhood that is observed in different forms throughout the world. The American incarnation of Mother’s Day
was created by Anna Jarvis in 1908 and became an official U.S. holiday in 1914. Jarvis would later denounce the holiday’s commercialization and spent the latter part of her life trying to remove it from the calendar. While dates and celebrations vary, Mother’s Day most commonly falls on the second Sunday in May and traditionally involves presenting mothers with flowers, cards and other gifts.
Mother’s Day Offering for Epworth
Did you know that in the last year Epworth Children’s Home gave 150 children a safe and loving place to call home? Each of these children had this opportunity because people and church’s like us embrace and pro-vide for this wonderful ministry for the children and families in South Carolina. We will participate in the annual Mother’s Day Offering on Sunday, May 14th 2017, to benefit the children who call Epworth home. Please be in prayerful consideration of what God is calling you to give to this valuable and life changing ministry. While we will buy flowers, call the mothers in our lives and remember those mothers who have impacted our lives in the past, most of the children at Epworth Children's Home will not be celebrating Mother’s Day with their mothers. Instead, they will be surrounded by loving staff and volunteers who walk with them daily to provide spiritual, educational, emotional and physical support. Consider what God is calling you to give to support our church’s ministry to children. Your generous contribution to our church’s ministry enables transformation to happen for the children who call Epworth home. Epworth does not receive denominational funding (apportionments). This offering is our opportunity to support this vital ministry. For more information about Epworth Children's Home, visit them on the web at www.epworthchilrenshome.orgReprinted with permission from UMC and Epworth Children’s Home.
The Concerns of Trinity

Our Wesleyan Covenant Prayer group will also pray for you. Contact Harriet Stevenson or Pastor Carter to add or remove names from the prayer list.

EASTER AT TRINITY
Easter at Trinity was such a blessing! We had a great turnout for the Sunrise Service followed by the Men’s Club providing breakfast. We had an attendance of 175 for the 11:00 a. m. service. Phyllis Sanders had a wonderful Children’s Sermon and the children decorated the Children’s Cross (see photo below).
Children’s Cross Decorating the Outside Cross A crowd for the Easter Egg Hunt
The Easter Egg Hunt was well attended and much fun. A highlight was the number of former Trinity kids that are now parents and who brought their children to the egg hunt. They also helped to beautifully decorate the outdoor cross. Many thanks to Clarissa Hendrix, Sharon Senn, Lynn Mohler and everyone else who helped with the Easter Egg Hunt and Cross Decorating.
