GENERAL MEETING MINUTES FROM SUNDAY, DECEMBER 05th, 2010
FAITH- Macy’s will donate $1 to the Make-a-Wish Foundation for each letter we write to Santa.
LUANA- We collected 5 gallons of pop tabs. We will be collecting them in the spring as well, so keep collecting! We have pictures for Take the Walk yesterday. Also, you can bring textbooks next semester so we can donate them to people in Africa and you will get a service credit for that.
WILLIAM-5 Star Awards

CHRISTINA- Athenian Edit Committee is Monday, January 10th, 2010 at 5pm on the 2nd floor of the library. (Scholarship Credit)Catalog items are in please come and collect them.We will have more chocolate in January.Regional Awards- Provisional members not eligible. More information of the flptk.org website. Short Story, Poetry, Music and Essay (essay must be about the 2010-2011 Honors Study Topic, “The Democratization of Information: Power, Peril and Promise) are due on February 11th 2011. A cover letter for the Art is due on February 2nd 2011. If you are interested in doing the speech you must come to the meeting on Sunday, January 9 th , 2011with your speech written and ready to perform so we can choose which member will be representing Delta Omicron at the Regional Convention. Please let the advisors know if you plan on entering any of these contests.Please come see me if you have not received a Mass Email, to give me your email address.
GENERAL ANNOUCEMENTS- (See announcements below)If you donate a toy to the Inter-Club Council Toy Drive, please take a picture of yourself putting the toy into the bin and show it to an E-board member.
FAITH- Adopt-a-Family: We have adopted a family of 6- including a grandchild. The officers and the advisors will be collecting donations of money, toys and other gifts, until this Friday, December 10th, 2010. Then we will be having a shopping trip to get everything on the list at the Boynton Beach Wal-Mart on Saturday, December 11th, 2010 at 10am. There is a list of what we need on the Delta Omicronicle, (at the bottom of these minutes.)We are currently planning a date and time to deliver the gifts to the family. It will be either Saturday, December 18th, 2010 or Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010. So, please keep these dates available.This is a great event and a great experience, please be a part of it! MILLAS- Regional Convention is $100 and the money is due on January 26th, 2010. Please see Mrs. Bush to pay, if she is not around I will take payments. We do not yet know how much Internationals is going to cost, but the airline ticket will be expensive. I have stoles and tassels on sale- please see either myself or Mrs. Bush if you are graduating and have not earned these through the 5 Star Program. Stoles-$18, Tassels-$10.
