2012 Wounded Warrior Project Development to assist soldiers coming back from Iraq and

Afghanistan. Worked with graduate students to develop a comprehensive rehabilitation

center prototype for these wounded soldiers.

Design of a Stage Set for the “Creativity Illuminated” Project, McCain Auditorium. The set

was designed by graduate students to develop cultural and religious harmony through

the music performance of Oscar-winning music director Yuval Ron.

Curated “Sustainable by Design: A Review of Native American Architecture, Art and

Culture of the Southwest” to create awareness about the issues of sustainability and

respect for the ancient Native American culture.

LOUISIANA TECH UNIVERSITY: UNIVERSITY SERVICE

2007 - 09 Assisted in promoting service-learning projects as a faculty participant, and received the

University of Louisiana System’s Learn and Serves grant to develop temporary shelter

prototypes for disaster-affected communities. The prototype was designed by junior

interior design students.

2006 - 07 Assisted university in promoting service-learning projects as a faculty participant with

Prof. K. Singh, and received University of Louisiana System’s Learn and Serves grant to

assist New Orleans’ Gert Town community, which was affected by hurricanes Katrina and

Rita. This project was a collaboration between interior design and architecture students

of the university. Students designed housing prototypes for the community.

2006 - 07 Developed “Renewable Energy and Beyond” Lecture Series for the university with Prof. R.

Hutchinson

2006 Guest Member: Internationalizing the Curriculum Committee: Assisted in developing

“Shaping the 21st Century: Focus on India” Series.

Curated and installed “Discover India” exhibition to promote the university’s mission of

internationalizing the curriculum.

Developed and taught honors seminar LBAR 489c “The Art and Culture of India” to

promote university’s mission of Internationalizing the curriculum.

Presented report on “Shaping the 21st Century: Focus on India Series” to the Board of
