Reminders
School swimming Well done to all students on a long week of travel- some great swimming skills have been learnt. Make the time during the sum-mer holidays to keep up those skills or book into one of the Sport and Rec swimming lesson programs.RemindersA reminder that school hats should be either on your head or in your tray. Please don’t take them home. Any other hats worn should always be wide brimmed for sun protection- no caps etc should be at school. Please don’t bring mobile phones to school. Looking for some chooks or a character-full duck?We will tendering off our school poultry at the end of the year- so if you are looking to have some chooks of your own or add to your flock- consider putting in a tender. Up for tender are:• One Wyandotte hen - pure breed, laying
bids over $20 accepted• Pair of Silky bantams -rooster and hen (laying)• Paddywhack- the Khaki Campbell drakePlace your tender bid with your name and price into a sealed envelope and drop into the box in the office before Friday 8th December. Winners will be informed once the highest bidder is determined. Please aim to collect the birds by the end of the day on Friday 15th December.Last scripture of 2017Our next Scripture day on Thursday 7 December will be a Christ-mas service, and held at the Towamba church. Mr Dixon has also been invited to attend the end of year concert and presen-tation evening and will assist us in distributing the Giving Tree gifts to Anglicare.Kids In2Uni Year 6 students enjoyed their trip to the Bega campus of the University of Wollongong last week. Some photos show the fun they got up to as they had a fun little peek into what might be involved in a degree in nursing, engineering or teaching!Year 7 Orientation Day next weekOn Tuesday next week our Year 6 students are off again to explore high school this time with the Year 7 Orientation Day for all students commencing Year 7 next year. the day starts with a parent information session. Students can also choose to travel on the bus- but please inform us or the busline directly. Please return permission notes ASAP.Book ClubThank you to those making an order- books are arriving this week.

Old uniforms for a great causeUluka and Arlie represented the school for the photo shoot to promote the cause for the local papers. The Social Justice Advo-cates group will be including our old uniform dresses, sports skirts and gingham shorts in a load to children in Papua New Guinea.
Student reportsTeachers are working on the Semester 2 student reports at the moment and these will be given to students to take home on Tuesday December 12.
School Assembly Wednesday 13 DecemberOn the day of the concert we will have a small assembly in the morning at school to present a few awards like the Magpie Nests earned this term, and the School banking Term 3 Consistent Sav-ers award. School concertOur script for this year’s play, Trouble at the Campsite, written by the Year 6 students is well underway and rehearsals in class are happening. Stay tuned for more details of any costume requirements, and help needed with props. Students should be practising their lines at home- if not- ask them about it!Pool PartyA permission note is attached- please return so that we can con-tinue our planning for this fun day after the concert night.
CPR UpdateStaff are doing our annual CPR Update on Monday December 18 in the morning with First Aid trainer Peter Bootes at school. Any parents interested in refreshing their CPR skills are welcome to join us, fee is $65 and will include a certificate.Coast 2 KosiA reminder that on Friday 8 December there will be many runners and support crew vehicles on the roads- please be aware (as they often aren’t!)Giving TreeIf you have the opportunity please consider bringing in something extra for the Giving Tree. We have a box in the offiice for your donations.

P&C NewsNo lunch ordersDon’t forget no lunch orders tomorrow as swimmers get back too late.Thanks to all the volunteers this year bringing an easy lunch op-tions for families on a Friday!Coast2Kosciuszko Friday 8 December Helpers appreciated for our big breakfast stall for the C2K sup-port crews coming through our area on Friday 8 December.We will be setting up our stall out the front of the old Towamba shop (Nicole’s place).Helpers welcome for:Thursday 7th December setting up- after school and eveningFriday 8 December: 5.30am - to cook and serve the runner and crew out the front of the old shop (Nicole’s place).We are also looking for egg donations for the Coast2Kosci BBQ on Friday December 8. Contact Esther or Steph if you can help out.P&C Hamper raffle Donations can be brought into school any time - just pick up something extra when you are shopping. Who knows- you might even win the hamper! Still in need of items to fill the hamper! Raffle tickets will be sent home for families to sell soon.Hall Decorating/set up Monday 11thMonday December 11- all welcome from 9.30am for setting up the hall for the concert night, including decorations and decorating the tree.Garden helpers Monday afternoons is a regular garden day at school- helpers would be greatly appreciated from 2pm.
