Mobility Park to Offer Scan Tool Theater, Underhood Training

Excitement is building for the live demonstrations and hands on learning in the new, outdoor Mobility Park at AAPEX. With a focus on today’s automotive technology, exhibitors in the Scan Tool Theater include Autel.US, Launch Tech, MAHLE, Schrader, OTC and Standard Motor Products. Exhibitors offering Underhood Training include AVI, Bartec, CARQUEST, Delphi, Honeywell, MAHLE, Robert Bosch, Schaeffler and Standard Motor Products. The Mobility Park also will include 3D printing and electric vehicles and will be located behind the Sands Expo Center in the LINQ parking lot.

An Invitation for Service Professionals

The enhanced AAPEXedu Service Professionals Program will feature AVI and Automotive Service Association (ASA) training throughout the week. New this year, the program will include the Technology and Telematics Forum, V5.0 powered by CARS and hosted by ASA. The forum will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Nov. 2. In the afternoon, AVI will offer additional training, followed by a new Service Professionals Summit at 5 p.m., when a panel of experts will discuss the impact of technology on auto repair. A reception for service professionals will conclude the program. The program is sponsored by MAHLE and is included in AAPEX registration.

Nearly 50 Sessions in Enhanced AAPEXedu Program

New partners and industry-leading speakers have joined the AAPEXedu 2017 lineup, making it the most robust program to date. Sessions will be offered in many tracks including technology, business management, industry trends, heating/cooling, heavy duty, import/export, and paint and body. The program

also includes the Remanufacturing Conference on Monday, Oct. 30 and the Young Professionals Program on Wednesday, Nov. 1. The enhanced Service Professionals Program will take place during AAPEX and feature AAPEXedu sessions, underhood training and the scan tool theater in the new Mobility Park, as well as special events planned for Thursday, Nov. 2. NASTF Announces Feature Sessions at AAPEX

The NASTF Fall 2017 General Meeting at AAPEX will offer three feature ses-sions to keep you ahead of the curve: “The Most Underused OEM Service Info Resources,” “TechForce Foundation is on the Road to GREAT Techs,” and “Changes are Coming to the SAE J1962 DLC.” The meeting will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 1, Casanova Room 606. Start Each Day with a Keynote SessionFor the first time, each day of AAPEX will begin with a Keynote Session focusing

on technology and the future of the industry. On Tuesday, Oct. 31, we will discuss The Future of the Vehicle, followed by The Future of the Buyer on Wednesday, Nov. 1. On Thursday, Nov. 2, a panel of experts will address The Future of the Shop. All keynote sessions are free and will take place from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., Palazzo Ball-room, Level 5 of the Venetian.

ASA and AVI Extend Training Beyond Close of AAPEX

The Automotive Service Association (ASA) and AVI will offer training as part of the AAPEXedu program, and this year, they also will provide more training and net-working after the close of the event. ASA will offer management training on Friday, Nov. 3, leading with sessions on “Grow Your Own Technicians” and “They are Com-ing for YOUR Market Share.” AVI will bring world-class training to its 22nd Annual Conference on Nov. 3 and Saturday, Nov. 4.
