Do you know Bung Tomo ? Yeah, he is one of famous hero that led arek-arek suroboyo againts Netherlands. He has been becoming heroic icon of Surabaya, one of big city in Indonesia. The Capital City of East Java. The great battle has occured in this city between Indonesia and Netherlands, so Surabaya known as city of heroes. It happened on 10th November. The goverment set that every 10th November celebrating the day of hero.

Surabaya is the city that full of histories. There are many places can visited to learn or rememorize history of Indonesia, like a Tugu Pahlawan, Jembatan Merah, Suryo Monument,Submarine Monument, and many others.

Surabaya is the second largest city in Indonesia with population over 2,5 million. Located on northeastern Java Island, Surabaya becomes main port and commercial trade center in eastern Indonesia, and also becomes one of the largest city in South East Asia. In this city spread many of shopping center, mall, supermarket, and traditional market. Surabaya provides all of things that peoples need, like a clothes, clothing material, groceries, building material, electronic, and many others.

In addition, Surabaya has a lot of beautiful tourist destination. The most popular of them is Kebun Binatang Surabaya (Surabaya Zoo) also known as Bonbin. Surabaya citizen is very proud of Bonbin. Because it is the largest zoo in southeast Asia. But, on the other side Bonbin reported as a cruellest zoo. Because, many of animals there died in the last two years. In fact, Surabaya zoo reported will be closed.

Nevertheless, there are still many beautiful places without bad reputation. Namely, Suramadu National Bridge. Wow! This is the

longest and only one bridge that connecting two islands in Indonesia, Java island and Madura island. Suramadu built in 2003 and officially opened on 2009 by president of Republic Indonesia, Mr.Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

The point, Surabaya City is one of interesting city that must be visited.
