Shutter Speed

The Shutter speed on this image was very quick, this was to get a very clear and pristine picture. The shutter speed was : 1/320. This means there was very low % of camera shake. This also, because there was a lot of light in the image, the quicker shutter speed let less light into the lenses.

The Shutter speed on this image was very slow , this was to get a blurry image. The shutter speed was : 1/13. This means there was very High % of camera shake. There wasn’t a lot of lighting within the image due to trees blocking out the sun, this meant the shutter speed had to be slower in order to get a brighter image.

The ISO level on a camera setting is to control the shutter speed.

In this image there was a lot of light, this means the images I took previous to this one was very bright. So I had to rise the ISO making the light intake less.

Aperture & Depth of Field

Depth of field is what the image if focused on, and what isn’t. So on this image, you can clearly see a line in the floor is in focus and the rest of the image isn’t. This Is because I focused on a specific area of the photo.

The f-stop in this image is ‘1.8’ This means the line of focus is very narrow and short, this also means that a lot of the image isn’t going to be in focus.

Rule of thirds

The rule of thirds mostly helps with the composition of an image, including the background the main focus and anything in-between. This helps with the poisoning of things in the image. As you can see in the image on the right, I wanted the bird to be in the bottom left of the image, but its head to be in the middle. So I used the ‘grids’ provided and positioned it accordingly.
