Happy Thanksgiving! Whether at home or away, have

a blessed day!

Breakfast in Bethlehem Make plans NOW to attend

the all-you-can-eat breakfast on Saturday, Dec. 9 at

10:00 a.m. Plan on participating in the Christmas Pageant in church

at 11:30 a.m.

The Bottom Line An Augustinian, a Franciscan, and a Jesuit die

and end up at the Pearly Gates together. Jesus asks each, ‘If you

could go back, what would you change?” The Augustinian ponders

for a minute and says, “There’s so much sin in the world. If I went

back, I’d try and make people behave better.” The Franciscan also

thinks a bit and says, “There’s so much poverty in the world. If I

went back, I’d try and get people to share more of their wealth

with the poor.” The Jesuit looks at Jesus and quickly replies, “If I

went back, I’d change doctors.”

God Calling…The Gospel is an invitation to and a blueprint for

complete joy.

Sr. Gemma Legel, OSF

No One Should Spend Thanksgiving Alone Once again we are teaming up with Newburg United Methodist Church to serve two dinners (1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.) on Thanksgiving Day to anyone in our community! All are invited to eat and/or serve at this feast. Football game will be televised!

If you would like to eat: RSVP to Newburg United Methodist Church at 734-422-0149 or you can register online at (newburgumc.org). This meal has nothing to do with income, it is about spending time with others on Thanksgiving. No questions will be asked and you don’t need to justify!

THANKSGIVING FOOD DONATIONS

It has been a tradition at many of the Parishes that we have come from to bring a food donation to church on Thanksgiving Day as a visible sign of our “Thanks”. This year, we suggest that you bring a food gift card from your favorite grocery store

instead of canned goods. We will use these gift cards to give to families in need this Christmas (we recommend nothing larger than $25). If you prefer to bring canned goods, that is okay too. We will gather them up and send them to the food pantries where we send families. Donations can be dropped off with Paul in the gathering space or the office during the week.

Coats for Kids!

The Knights will once again be collecting new and un-wrapped winter coats for deserving children via Holy Cross

Children’s Services. Holy Cross is one of the largest private non-profit providers of child services in Michigan. Founded ini-

tially as Boysville of Michigan in 1948 by His Eminence Edward Cardinal Mooney, the agency’s growth over the past 60 years reflects the incredible commitment and support from the Michigan Knights of Columbus and our Catholic Community. Please look for our coat tote in the gathering space up until, and including, the weekend of December 10th. On behalf of the Children and the Knights, thank you so much! Please learn more about Holy Cross at holycrossservices.org
