in the world, north of the Equator. With its beautiful blue skies and tropical breezes you can bathe in the sandy beaches and palm-fringed state of Sarawak.
Tropical showers cool the land with heavier rainfalls during the monsoon months from November to March.

KUCHING-Capital of SarawakKuching means "cat" in Malay. Like its name, this
incredible city has its grace and subtlety on its own. A capital for cat lovers, the world's first cat museum can be found here. Kuching is safe, clean and has a
surprising number of tourist attractions.
SIBULocated at the heart of Sarawak, Sibu is a holiday destination for culture, adventure and nature. You can shop, dine, go bargain hunting or for a little more excitement, take a ride in fast passenger
ferries to remote areas where the locals live right next to the jungle inhabited by exotic animals.
The beauty presents within Sarawak ethnic costumes are further accentuated by the intricate handiwork decorating each traditional ensemble with ethnic motits fashioned from striking woven cloth, colourful beads and glittering sequins. The
personal adornments crafted out of silver and colourful beads signifies the status and affluence of
the wearer.
The Malay men usually dresses in traditional Baju Melayu cekak Musang with Sarawak woven songket
samping. The Malay women gracefully attired in Baju Kurung and songket sarong, complete with
shawl. The fashion style of Melanau men is in simple satin attire worn with brocade samping and
Javanese style headgear. The womenfolk usually wears Baju Baban with oversized cuffs and Sarawak
songket including gold and silver adornments
