Sending a fax using Microsoft Outlook or OWA (Office 365)

1. Create a new Email in Outlook or OWA as you would normally 2. Enter a subject and type the message, as you would do for an email.

Note: the subject will be displayed on the coversheet of your fax. 3. In the recipients field (the To: field) enter the number you wish to fax to with

the following syntax:

[email protected]

As an example, to fax to 3046451234 you would address it as [email protected]. Do not include a 9 but if the call is long distance please include the 1 in front of the telephone number.

4. If needed, add any attachments to the email as you normally would. They

will be rendered as additional pages on the fax. 5. Click Send to send the fax as you normally would an email. You will receive a

notification back on the delivery status of the fax transmission.

Receiving a fax within Microsoft Outlook or OWA If you are designated to receive incoming faxes they will be delivered to Outlook/OWA as an e-mail message with an attachment. The message body will contain information about the fax along with an image of the first page of the fax. The full fax transmission will be attached as a PDF image.
