SAINT ANNE’S CATHOLIC CHURCH BRISTOL, VIRGINIA May 28 , 2017 Remember St. Anne’s in your Will and Trusts
In today’s Gospel the angel asked the disciples who have
just witnessed the Ascension: “Why are you standing
there looking at the sky?” Indeed, they could ask us the
same question. Listening to the Word of God today, let us
focus on God’s invitation to continue Christ’s mission in
the world. What do these sacred scriptures ask of you now,
this week?

As on Sinai, the Lord descends in fire and wind.
1 Corinthians 12:3b-7, 12-13
The Spirit calls the baptized to ministry
for the common good.
John 20:19-23
On the first day of the week the risen Christ
imparts the Holy Spirit
Next Sunday we will hear stories of the movement of the
Spirit in the early Church and reflect on how they tell our
own story as well. Then let us make our own the words of
the Pentecost Sequence: “Come, Holy Spirit, come!”
