Adjetivos posesivos y demostrativos. La posición del adjetivo.(Versión en español)

Objetivos● Al finalizar esta actividad, los estudiantes se habrán familiarizado con el uso de los adjetivos posesivos en

todas sus personas, con los demostrativos y aprenderán cuál es la posición correcta del adjetivo en español, todo ello mediante la práctica escrita y oral.

De qué se trataLos estudiantes aprenderán en primer lugar los adjetivos posesivos a través de un video y una práctica oral que incluye el vocabulario de la familia. En segundo lugar, nuevamente a través de un video, aprenderán las formas de singular de los adjetivos demostrativos, y las formas de plural por medio de una actividad por escrito. A continuación practicarán oralmente en la clase. Por último, verán un video al respecto de la posición del adjetivo y harán una práctica oral con un juego de tarjetas, creando sus propias frases (sustantivo + adjetivo) para describir imágenes.

Duración40-50 minutos

Desarrollo- Actividad 1 – Adjetivos posesivos y demostrativos

a. Se distribuye la Ficha 1. Escuchando el video La familia y posesivos (https://youtu.be/Xie7pTBFWcg) individualmente completan la actividad a con las formas de singular. Se ponen en parejas y se le distribuye a cada una un árbol genealógico de la familia Simpson (Acceder la imagen aquí http://bit.ly/2aRjzdt e imprimir en tamaño tabloide 11” x 17”). Practican oralmente las formas mi, mis, tu, tus con la actividad b. A continuación practican la forma su, presentando la información de su compañero a otra pareja (actividad c). En parejas, completan la actividad d para descubrir las formas de varios poseedores nuestro (-s), nuestra (-s), su (-s)) y juntando las parejas de dos en dos (es decir, 4 estudiantes en cada grupo), hacen la actividad e para practicar oralmente esas formas.

b. Los estudiantes ven el video Spanish lessons - Demonstrative adjectives (part 1) (https://youtu.be/ZCBB6ilYSj0) y completan la actividad a de la Ficha 2, con la que aprenden las formas de singular de estos adjetivos. Comparan con su compañero y completan juntos la actividad b, con la que aprenden las formas de plural. Practican oralmente con la actividad c.

- Actividad 2 – Posición del adjetivo y práctica oral a. Se distribuye la Ficha 3 a cada estudiante y una Ficha 4 por pareja. Los estudiantes ven el video

Se ponen en común y se elige la más clara para colgarla en la clase. Posible método de evaluaciónSe aconseja tener una rúbrica de evaluación para las actividades orales, en la que los estudiantes tengan claro cómo pueden avanzar y progresar de un nivel a otro. Se ha propuesto una rúbrica de evaluación (Ficha 5: Rúbrica de habilidades de expresión oral) que puede ser utilizada para esta actividad, o puede crearse una similar en la que sea evidente si los estudiantes ‘no alcanzan las expectativas’, ‘alcanzan las expectativas’ o ‘sobrepasan las expectativas’.

Objectives● At the end of this activity students will be familiar with the use of possessive adjectives, as well as with

demonstrative adjectives. They will also learn where to place Spanish adjectives, practicing these both in written and oral form.

Activity SummaryFirst, students will learn the possessive adjectives by watching a video and by doing an oral practice that includes vocabulary related to the family. Secondly, and again by watching a video, they will learn the forms for the demonstrative adjectives in the singular. Afterwards, they will learn the plural forms in a written exercise, and practice both singular and plural with an oral activity in the class. Finally, they will watch the last video regarding the position of the adjective. They will practice with a card game, by creating small phrases (noun + adjective) in order to describe images.

Time Allocation40-50 minutes

Procedure- Activity 1 – Possessive and demonstrative adjectives

c. Give out Handout 1. Students watch the video La familia y posesivos (https://youtu.be/Xie7pTBFWcg) and individually fill out activity a with the singular forms of the possessives. Each pair is given a Simpson’s family tree (Access the image here: http://bit.ly/2aRjzdt and print in tabloid size paper 11” x 17”). They orally practice the forms mi, mis, tu, tus with activity b. Then students practice the form su, by presenting their partner’s information to another pair (activity c). In pairs, they fill out activity d in order to discover the forms for several possessors nuestro (-s), nuestra (-s), su (-s): by putting pairs together in groups of four students, they practice these forms orally with activity e.

d. Students watch the video Spanish lessons - Demonstrative adjectives (part 1) (https://youtu.be/ZCBB6ilYSj0) and fill out activity a in Handout 2, with which they earn the singular forms of the demonstrative adjectives. They compare their notes with their partner and complete together activity b, with the plural forms. They practice orally with activity c.

- Activity 2 – Adjective position and oral practice b. Give Handout 3 to students and one copy of Handout 4 per pair. Students watch video Position of

Spanish adjectives (https://youtu.be/NNmpPH8Nk5o), and in pairs prepare a cheat sheet about the position of the adjective (Handout 4). Later they will explain it to the class, that will choose the clearest one to display on the wall. Finally, the class is divided into two groups and the game cards for activity b are given (they will need to be printed twice, one copy for each group).







Suggested evaluation methodIt is advisable to have a rubric to assess speaking activities in which it should be clear to students how to move from one level to the next. A rubric indicating how a student is Meeting, Exceeding or not Meeting Expectations is the most useful. The suggested “Speaking Production Rubric” can be used (Handout 5).
