1. INTRODUCTION

1.1. Background

1.2. Purpose

2. CONTENT (THE IMPORTANT OF IMMUNOZATION FOR CHILDREN)

2.1. Definisi of immmunozation

Immunisation is a way to induce / increase immuneperson is active against a

disease, so if one day he is exposed tothe disease will not get sick or mild pain. (Depkes,

2005). Immunization is an act to provide immunity in a wayincorporate the vaccine into

the human body, in order to prevent disease. (Depkes-Kessos RI, 2000).

Immunization is usually more focus is given to children because their immune

systems are still not as good as adults, leaving it vulnerable to attack by malicious

disease. Immunization is not enough only once, but it must be done gradually and

completely against various diseases that are very harmful to the health and lives of

children.

The purpose of granting an immunity from immunization is to reduce the number

of patients with a disease that is very dangerous to health can even cause death in the

sufferer. Some of the diseases that can be avoided by immunization as hepatitis B,

measles, polio, diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, mumps, measles, tuberculosis, and

others.

2.2. Kind of immunization

Immunization has been prepared in such a way so as not to cause adverse effects.

Immunization has 2 types, there are :

a. Imunisai active

Is the provision of a germ that has been attenuated (vaccine) so that the body's immune

system to respond specifically and provide a memory to this antigen, so that when again

exposed the body can recognize and respond. Example: Active immunization is polio and

measles immunization.

Primary immunization can be given to children are:

- BCG, to prevent TB disease.

- DPT, to prevent diseases diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus.

- Polio, to prevent disease poliomilitis.

- Measles, to prevent measles (measles).

- Hepatitis B, to prevent hepatitis.

2.2.2 Passive Immunization

It is a process of improving the immune by way of immunoglobulin substances,

which are substances produced through a process of infection that can be derived from

human plasma (acquired immunity the baby from the mother through the placenta) or

animal (snake venom) is used to treat microbial already in the infected body. Examples of

passive immunization isinjection of ATS (Anti Tetanus Serum) in people who have

injury accident. Another example is found in newborn birth the babies were receiving

various types of antibodies mother through the placenta during gestation blood, for

example antibodies against measles.
