On�behalf�of�the�Organizing�Committee�and�the�Korean�Society�for�Transplantation,�itgives�us�great�pleasure�to�welcome�all�of�you�to�the�13th Congress�of�the�InternationalSociety�for�Organ�Donation�and�Procurement�to�be�held�at�the�Conrad�Hotel,�Seoul,�Korea,from�October�17th to�20th,�2015.

Vitallink�is�a�compound�word�combining�"vital"�and�"link",�which�means�linking�donor'svitality�to�the�recipient�by�organ�donation.�As�shown�in�the�name�of�this�organization,Vitallink�was�founded�in�2009�by�medical�professionals�working�in�the�field�oftransplantation�and�organ�procurement�to�achieve�a�global�standard�of�organ�donationculture�and�to�publish�educational�and�promotional�materials�to�support�other�NGOs'activity�in�Korea.�Developing�policies�about�organ�donation�and�transplantation�andproposing�policies�to�the�government�are�other�important�roles�of�Vitallink.�With�otherNGOs�working�in�the�field�of�organ�donation�activation,�Vitallink�established�the�"KoreanDonate�Life�Network"�and�formed�a�coalition�between�organizations�for�a�better�andeffective�organ�donation�campaign.�Vitallink�held�the�Korean�Transplant�Games�to�supporttransplant�patients�and�their�rehabilitation�and�health�on�October�25–26,�2014.�Vitallinkalso�held�the�4th�Vitallink�International�Workshop�to�help�Mongolia�and�Myanmar�createsystems�for�the�self-sufficiency�of�organ�donation�on�January�28,�2015.�Through�theVitallink�International�Workshop�we�provided�the�chance�to�discuss�and�share�the�mostappropriate�methods�to�activate�organ�donation�and�transplantation�together�and�todefine�the�practical�application�and�implementation�of�organ�donation�andtransplantation�according�to�each�country's�circumstances.
