U15 Football Championship On Sat last Valley Rovers played Nemo Rangers in the U15 Football Championship, unfortunately we were missing three key players due to injury and it was a mountain too high to climb on this occasion. We started the game brightly and got a great point through Sean Barry, after a great run from half back and tacked on two more points through Kieran Rice and Niall Lawton, Nemo lead at the break 10 points to 3. Again we started the second half well and scored two points through Kieran Rice, but Nemo finished strongly to win on a score line of 1-16 to 0-05. The lads have to be commended for their spirit and determination in very trying circumstances and they kept going to the bitter end. Best on the day were Dave Muckian, Darragh O Shea, Kieran Rice and Daniel Lordan, while everybody gave it their all and that's all we can ask for. Team: Cormac Lyons, Shane Lynch, Dave Muckian, Conor Cremin, Sean Barry, Matt Devine, Matt Crowley, Conor Hurley, Kieran Rice, Darragh O Shea, Ronan Hoey, Niall Lawton, Adam Kenneally, Jack Crowley, Daniel Lordan, Darren Draper, Daniel McCarthy, Cathal O Sullivan, Darragh Keane, Brian Hoey, Cormac Kilduff, Cian Crowley
U13 Football League Semi Final Valley Rovers U13s played the semi-final of their football league on Sunday in Brinny. The Rovers were well on top at half time but Glenvile proved they were not a side to be ruled out and brought us back to a four-point margin with 15 minutes to go. The lads had to prove to themselves they could have the winning of the game if they played with team spirit and support, which they did with a final score line of 3-9 to 1-9. Hopefully they can play with the same heart when they go on to play the final against Eire Og and show the same determination again.
Under 11 Camogie
Valley Rovers under 11 camogie team ended the year on
a great high winning the South East under 11 camogie
league. They remained unbeaten in the league and had a
very busy weekend, defeating Sliabh Rua on Saturday
and Carrigaline on Sunday in two very hard fought wins.
This team gets better and better as the year goes on and
they finished off the year on a high with huge
performance by the entire squad over the weekend. To
see the improvement from all the players over the year
has been amazing and each and every one of them
deserves enourmous credit. Well done also to coaches
Demot Higgins, Anne Kelleher and Majella Rumley.
The team consisted of the following; Maya Linerhan,
Sarah Kenny, Cora Higgins, Caoimhe Hurley, Siofra
Kelleher, Emily Barry, Emma Kelly, Lauren Rumley,
Lauren Keane, Cara O'Sullivan, Anna Collins, Fiona
Twohig, Ciara O'Sullivan, Sinead McCarthy, Grace
O'Dwyer, Cliona Prendegast, Clare Aurard, Ciara Taheny,
Maeve Slattery, Emma O'Sullivan.

Fun Run
Valley rovers Camogie Club annual 7k Fun Run/Walk
fundraiser will take place, on Sunday 8th November
from Brinny GAA Grounds at 12:00pm. Registration will
be from 11am. This is our main fundraiser with
exception of the golden goal where we work very
successfully with the ladies football club. We have
introduced a shorter route for any under 16s who
wishes to run this route. This year the Under 16 1st
prize for male & female will be awarded to the
participants of the shorter route. This route is also
optional for anyone who wishes to use it.We would
appreciate if each family could help by bringing
something small in terms of home baking, or
sandwiches, or purchased items. Last year was the
biggest year we had, and we are setting our targets
higher this year.
We would love to see you there, please encourage
friends, or anyone you know who loves to run, to come
along. So put it in your Diary,Brinny, 8th November,
