Club Development News
The surface at the ball wall in the Bleach was resurfaced
in early December, along with the mounds of earth
along the sides removed, allowing the size of the area to
be extended also. Floodlights for this area are in the
process of being erected over the coming weeks also,
allowing winter training to recommence.
A big thanks to Arkill for completing the work & the
development committee for their overseeing.
Valley Rovers are pleased to announce that they
received a grant of €2,777.10 from the GAA Munster
council recently. This is a development grant, with
the Munster Council the only Provincial Council to
present grants to Clubs for development. Valley
Rovers were one of 33 cork clubs to receive funds.
Many thanks to the Munster council for their ongoing
support of club developments.
Club Treasurer Seamus McCarthy was on hand at a
function in Pairc Uí Chaoimh to collect the cheque on
behalf of the club, pictured below.

practicing!
The year in review in Pictures There are two new slideshow videos on the club
website (video section is towards the bottom of the
home page), using many of the photos taken over the
2018 season. This is a lovely way to recap on the
memories of 2018 & is well worth taking a look at so
be sure to show the kids!

1993 Minor Football Team Reunion
The Minor County champions from 1993 got to relive their glory days at a gathering in Johnny Crowley’s over the
Christmas period. It was great to have so many of the team & mentors attend & share their stories & memories
over the night.
