    ALLEN PARK A39-year-old man whowas a house guest wasarraigned Monday in 24thDistrict Court in the shoot-ing and dismembermentdeaths of two residents.

    Roger Bowling wascharged with two countseach of first-degree murder,mutilation of a body andfelony use of a firearm. Healso faces a charge of tam-pering with evidence.

    The murder charges eachcarry a life sentence uponconviction. The chargesof dismemberment andevidence tampering carrysentences of up to 10 yearseach and a $25,000 fine. Thefelony firearm charges eachcarry a mandatory two-yearsentence.

    Its not often that torsosare found floating in WayneCounty, Wayne County

    Prosecutor Kim Worthy saidin a statement. This couplelost their lives in the worstpossible way.

    The torsos of Chris Hall,42, and Danielle Greenway,32, were found just after 7a.m. July 16 in the DetroitRiver near Alter Road andRiverside Drive off Detroitseast side.     DETROIT The Lincoln Parkwoman who made national headlinesfor continuing to accept food stampbenefits after winning $1 million ona Michigan Lottery game show wassentenced yesterday in Wayne CountyCircuit Court to nine months of proba-tion.

    Amanda Clayton, 25, won the moneyon the show Make me Rich! last yearand took home more than $700,000after taxes. She was charged in Aprilwith two felony counts of welfare fraud

    failure to inform for not alerting the

    state Department of Human Servicesabout her winnings and income fromher job.

    Clayton accepted $5,475 in food andmedical benefits from August 2011through March this year that AttorneyGeneral Bill Schuettes office said shewas not eligible for. She pleaded nocontest in June and one charge wasdropped.

    Today, she paid the money back infull. She also has to pay court costs andfines.

    Her attorney, John Dakmak, said

    TAYLOR An emotional tributeto two fallen heroes drew about 400people Monday.

    Bearing the names of police Cpl.Matthew Edwards and AuxiliaryLt. Dan Kromer, who were killedin the line of duty less than twomonths apart in 2010, the PoliceDepartments Wall of Honor wasunveiled outside the station.

    Monday was the second anni-versary of Edwards death. He wasgunned down after being ambushed

    on a routine call at Coppertree

    Apartments near North Line andTelegraph roads. Kromer died Sept. 7when he was run down by a motoristwhile helping a driver who was lostalong the side of I-94.

    Standing 8 feet high and 5 feetwide, with a blue line runningbehind the departments emblem,the wall lists the names of Edwardsand Kromer. The wall sits behind thecitys Protector statue.

    The 90-minute ceremony featuredstirring speeches and songs by mem-bers of both families and community

    and religious leaders.

    Mayor Jeffrey Lamarand praisedthe families for their strength andsaid they are an inspiration.

    We are here to honor more thantheir memory or their service wehonor them as men, Lamarand said.We hope and pray that we neverhave to add another name to thiswall.
