Youth Ministry
Sunday School – Sunday Mornings (9:45 a.m.) Senior High Room 125 & Junior High Room 121 Pumpkin Unloading - Youth are encouraged to attend and hours will be credited for this year’s mission trip. UMYF – (Sunday Nights from 5:30 – 7:30) Wear shoes you can run in and be ready to play Barbarians!!! CORE – (Wednesday Nights from 7:00 – 8:00) We are reading through The Zombie Apocalypse Survival Guide for Teenagers Volunteer Meeting Oct. 30th: 12:15 – 1:00 p.m. Those currently volunteering with youth or those interested in volunteering with youth are invited to participate in a meeting to discuss the investment goals of youth ministry and what it might look like at SJA over the next four to six months. We will meet in the sanctuary following the 11:00 a.m. service. Halloween Party Mark you calendars. Oct. 30th: 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. We will have food, games and an offsite activity. The cost is $15 for the activity and is open to the first 20 students. I will start collecting money this week. Please try to pay in advance for this event. Parents, I need help setting up and transporting students. Please email me if you can help out.

Merry Mixers - Last One for 2016! Merry Mixers is open to all adults that meet for a potluck dinner, games and fellowship. Join the fun on Oct. 25, at 6:30 pm, in room 127. Children’s Christmas Eve Musical Rehearsals Begin! Christmas play practice starts this Sunday from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Pizza will be provided. Children will meet in the backroom at 12:30. This is for children K-6. Please see Mrs. Lindsey with any questions. Wacky Wednesday - TODAY! 6:00 to 7:30 For ages 4 years old through 6th grade. Dinner will be provided.

Applications for teens 14-16 years of age and host families are being accepted NOW for the 2017 summer. Help to make July 2017 the most memorable summer of your child's life through new friends, fun, family and service to the community.

Pumpkin Patch News
Sign up and Volunteer in the Patch! There are a lot of time slots without volunteers. Sign up for a 2 hour time slot as soon as you can. Click here to access the on-line sign-up sheet or pick an empty time slot in the binder in the hallway. To view the schedule, click here. Encourage your small group or Sunday School group to sign up.
If you are retired or are usually available during daytime hours, please sign up to be a substitute in the pumpkin patch. If we have an upcoming time slot, we contact you to fill in. The sign-up sheet in the hallway at the pumpkin patch display.
Be a Scarecrow - Volunteer to Read in the Patch! We need readers for story time with children in pre-k groups. Call Lynn Stokes 817-253-9566 if you would like to volunteer.
Pumpkin Patch T-shirts Available On Sundays, purchase a “Patch” t-shirt - located by the hallway by the sign-up table. T-shirts are $5 each.

Searching for Host Families
Pumpkins are coming This Sunday after the 11:00 am service! Join us for lunch and bring a dessert to share! After lunch, we will unload pumpkins.
There are a few items you may want to bring with you on unloading day as suggested by those who have unloaded before: gloves, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses.
Help Make Family Fun Day a Success! Volunteer to make Family Fun Day a success. Starting Sunday, there will be a signup sheet in the hallway. Sign up to set up and/or take down.
Occasion Worship in the Pumpkin Patch Mark your calendar! Our next Occasion Worship Service will be Wednesday evening, October 26th at 7:15 p.m. in the pumpkin patch, bring a chair. But first, join us at 6:30 p.m. on the patio to eat. Please bring a main course or side dish to share. This is a celebration of all that Kelli Krueger and Amanda Drake has done for the youth and SJA. A celebration cake and drinks will be provided. We will also be welcoming Theresa Wright and Josh Warthen this evening. Childcare will be provided for ages up and Wacky Wednesday will be at 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Donations for Trunk or Treat It’s hard to believe it’s almost time for kids to dress up for Trunk or Treat. We want to make sure we make this a fun evening for our kids and neighborhood kids. Please help with the following as you can by October 23rd: Candy Donations: Extra candy means we don’t run out of the sweet stuff. Please place donations in the marked box in the hallway. Cookie Donations: We will be feeding the kids as well but we need donations of cookies - store bought or home made. Please drop off the cookies in the kitchen - look for the sign.
Sunday Morning for Kids Kids' Connection (9:45 a.m.) Children's Worship for K-5th grade. We begin with worship in the Sanctuary then transition after the Children's Message to the backroom. Adventure Zone (11:00 a.m.) Classes for K through 5th grade. We meet in room 127 then break into groups for Bible study, craft, and games. Ages 3 (since last Sept 1) & 4 meet for Sunday School in room 122.
