MVnex550 metal-clad enclosed switchgear is the smallest complete
power distribution equipment of the MVnex centrally installed handcart
switchgears. MVnex550 provides the interlock functions of preventing on-
load push-pull circuit breaker handcart, preventing error closing-opening
circuit breaker, preventing closing circuit breaker with grounding switch
closed, preventing entering live chamber mistakenly and closing live
grounding switch mistakenly, and is equipped with Schneider Electric's
HVX indoor VXG MV vacuum circuit breaker handcart, which provides
superior performance.
MVnex550 is designed with the dimensions suitable for customers to
save a lot of space needed for power distribution, and is mainly used in
power transformation sites with the demand of miniaturization, such as
commercial and industrial buildings, real estate, data centers, and other
industrial power grids.

MVnex500 (Untra-Compact)MVnex500 metal-clad enclosed switchgear is the newest and smallest complete air-insulated MV power distribution equipment in the MVnex product line.
The MVnex500 switchgear is equipped with high-performance HVX VXG circuit breakers and three-position switches, the status of which can be seen directly through the sightglass in the front of the cubicle. Additionally, reliable mechanical interlock is arranged between the three-position switches and the circuit breaker to meet the requirements of completely avoiding the risks caused by mis-operation. MVnex Smart (Smart)
MVnex Smart MV switchgear is a smart solution specially designed
for users who need highly reliable continuous power supply, while
maintaining the design concept of Schneider Electric's MVnex metal-
clad enclosed switchgear. It is suitable for users of smart grid (switching
stations, power distribution rooms, etc.), data centers, hospitals, airports,
military sites and other industry users.
MVnex Smart can be customized based on customers' on-site
environment so as to provide solutions with smart design meeting the
system requirements, which can be equipped with more optimal online
monitoring, protection, control and digital system. It also has highly
reliable arc protection device and sequential control function, thus
meeting the demands of digital operation and maintenance through the
automation and software functions from Schneider Electric.

Basic Layout Plan of Power Distribution Room According to the technical characteristics of MVnex switchgear, it is suggested that the appropriate space should be set between the
rear cover as well as both sides of the switchgear and the wall as the maintenance channel.
Figure 1 shows the reference scheme of the power distribution room layout, which can be referred to for those adopting the cable trench incoming manner, the lower cable outgoing manner, or the upper cable outgoing manner. The figure only shows the single-row switchgear layout. If the switchgears are in double-row face-to-face arrangement, the distance between two rows shall not below 2500mm.
Foundation Frame of Switchgear
The installation of the switchgear foundation frame shall comply with the provisions of technical specification about construction and acceptance of electric power facilities. No matter which incoming/outgoing manner is adopted, pre-processed channel steel is recommended as switchgear foundation frame.
The height of the foundation frame channel steel shall be reserved with margin left when the base elevation of the switchgear is designed (see Figure 2), and anchoring steel plate shall be laid every 1 to 1.5 meters along the longitudinal direction of the framework on the switchgear base.
The foundation frame is welded with channel steel. The basic requirements on dimensions of the frame and the layout of the frame are shown in Figure 3, with no strict requirement on the height of channel steel. The extension distance of the channel steel of the foundation frame should be the same with the size of the switchgear framework. The total length of the framework depends on the layout and number of the switchgears in each row.
Level calibration shall be conducted for the foundation frame during embedding, with the error of levelness and straightness shall not exceed 1 mm per meter, while the total error 2mm. The top surface of the basic framework is required to be about 3-5mm higher than the final terrace of the power distribution room.
