where the artist took residence after leavingin1965 his native
country Bulgaria as a result of a conflict with the communist
government whichordered for political reasons one of Mihail
monumental sculptures erected in the central squareof the capital
city Sofia destroyed.
Sunday Morning is the title of a vast body of works: paper
constructions, charcoal drawings and
large bronze sculptures.
