I was about to turn 40, and I was feeling very old, tired, unhealthy, and unmotivated. I had gained at least 30 lbs. over the last 8 years and didn’t have a lot of motivation to be the weight I was before having kids. I was hooked on processed sugar, and I was feeding my cravings all day, looking for energy to keep up with my four kids—it wasn’t working! I felt bad about myself because I knew I wasn’t making good choices, and I knew I wasn’t being a good example for my kids, my downline, or anyone else. So when my upline, Ceci Sullivan, and her husband, Gene, returned from Grand Convention with such enthusiasm, we decided to start having lifestyle, health, and fitness meetings—I was ready! It felt like an answer to a prayer.

We started our meetings on July 10 and discussed how to set a 90-day goal. Mine was to lose 25 lbs. I was struggling with old injuries and felt like walking was all I could do, so that’s what I did. I just put the baby in the stroller and started walking in my neighborhood. I cut out processed sugar and added more Sunrider® products to my eating plan. I reached my 25 lb. goal in just 9 weeks, so I decided to go for 30 lbs., which I hit at 12 weeks! Even though I had reached my goal, I continued to walk and added some jogging with sit ups, push ups, planks, squats, and lunges. I have now lost a total of 41 lbs. and 40 in. in 5 months!* I have exponentially more energy, much more confidence,
