EAT WITH A PURPOSE Fuel Your Body for Fitness SuccessWhat you eat has a major impact on how well your body performs. A healthy diet supports metabolic processes and supplies your body with the energy needed to get the most from your workouts. To add muscle and burn fat, you need to eat with a purpose—to fuel your body for the next workout or to recover from the one you just did.

Nutritional imbalances can be a concern for anyone on a specialized diet and working out hard. Use Sunrider® products to get optimal amounts of macronutrients and essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants to keep you going strong.

THE IMPORTANCE OF MACRONUTRIENTS Protein, Carbohydrates, Fat

What are macronutrients? These are the nutrients humans need large amounts of to survive: protein, carbs, and fats. They are the source of practically all calories in food.

For people following a demanding workout regimen like Fitness Brigade, it’s important to consume the proper ratio of macronutrients to ensure the greatest results. Dr. Reuben Chen recommends a daily macronutrient ratio of: 40 percent protein, 30 percent carbs, and 30 percent fat.

40% Protein is for building and repairing muscle and physical and mental energy. Because proteins are complex molecules, the body takes longer to break them down. As a result, they are a

much longer-lasting source of energy than carbs. Protein is especially important for physically active individuals whose muscle tissue is constantly in need of repair. Good sources of protein include lean chicken breast, salmon, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, skim milk, and soy.

30% Carbohydrates are the main energy source of the body. When it comes to carbohydrates, the more complex the better. Your body converts carbs into glycogen, the form of fuel that is

stored in muscles and used during prolonged exercise. Complex carbohydrates like vegetables and whole grains contain fiber, which has a beneficial effect on fullness and blood sugar.

30% Fats have many benefits ranging from satiety to brain health—especially those rich in omega-3s. The misconception about fat is that it’s always bad for you. In fact, fat is essential for

maintaining a healthy body. The human brain consists of nearly 60% fat, and fatty acids are among the most crucial molecules that determine the brain’s ability to perform. Animal fats are a primary source, but fats can also be found in avocados, olives, and nuts, which are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, a fat that provides an array of health benefits.

SUNSPOT™ | RECOGNITION

Joye Sautter Business Leader | Tucson, Arizona

I had been in an MLM many years ago and had the mindset that I didn’t want to ever go back. But since I joined Sunrider, things have been different. Not only do we have the best products, but we offer a real opportunity. The more people we can help get out of being financially needy and back on their feet, the better off we all are.

How do you share the Sunrider business opportunity with new people?I started with what was easiest, my family, and then went on to acquaintances. I try to get to know them better and find out what their needs are. Whether it’s their weight, an illness, or a spiritual or financial matter, I offer help and hope by sharing my personal story. First we must gain a person’s trust, and then we can present a solution. I approach with the business opportunity if they are business people or have that mindset. The Philosophy of Regeneration®, which brings our bodies back into balance, has been a clear door opener for many. I know things don’t happen overnight, it takes time. There is a right time for everything and everyone.

What motivated you to qualify as a Business Leader?I think I just happened to stumble into the rank. The first 21 people I spoke to just said, “Okay,” but kept going and didn’t pay much attention. But then I found Twayla and she was as excited and ready as I was. She loves to help people too, and she can talk to anyone around her without hesitation. Duplication really is the answer. We don’t force anything on anyone.

How has your Sunrider success improved your lifestyle?I hadn’t realized my income increased so much in 2015! I know in 2014 it was pretty much just me eating the Sunrider food, but in 2015 it’s me sharing all of Sunrider with everyone. I know for sure one of the best things is that now I am able to afford to eat more and share more with more people.* People are seeing what I saw; I try to always give the gift of hope. Our group focuses on giving people back their health, physically and financially, as well as spiritually.

What are your goals for the future?I want to see more transformations…help more people. I see that I can help people be happier with themselves and their family. But I do want to learn how to talk with boldness yet gentleness. My outstanding downline Twayla will soon become a BL. Together we will build a great team and reach our goals.

How important is upline support? I am sure I could not have done this without the help of my sponsor, Catherine Bunn; she is just remarkable. Catherine has definitely gone beyond the call of duty, she is always there for me. My upline, Jeff and Elaine Smith, are always so encouraging, uplifting, and very good at everything. My advice is to get involved—people want you to succeed and will help you.

* The earnings stated above are not necessarily representative or typical of the earnings Sunrider Independent Business Owners (IBOs) can or will earn through participation in the Sunrider Business Plan. These statements should not be considered guarantees or projections of your actual earnings or profits. The average annual income of active Sunrider IBOs based on the months they were active was $2,344 in 2014. An active Sunrider IBO is an IBO who has $100 or more in IBO Sales in a month. As with any other independent business, success results only from dedicated sales efforts, hard work, diligence, and leadership.
