KARVY Mobile Applicationgives the Investor Clients of the Brokerage House theconvenienceofsecureandrealtimeaccesstoquotesandtrading. Theservicesarespeci�ically designed to meet the ever-changing needs of the Stock market andinvestors.KARVYMobileApplicationhastwolevelsofpasswordfortheinvestor.OnepasswordcalledtheLoginPasswordtoallowtheinvestortologinintothewebsiteandanotherpasswordcalledtheTransactionPasswordtoplaceorders.Boththepasswordsarestoredsecurelyandtotallyencrypted.TheInvestorwouldbeableto

3.1 LoggingintoKARVYMobileApplication

LoginScreenTheloginscreenisvisiblewhentheuserstartsthemobileapplication.TheValidUsernamemustbeentered,andtheusershouldclickontheSignInbutton.

Onclicking‘SignIn’Button,ThefollowingloginwindowwillappearwhereuserhastoenterLoginID&Passwordandcon�irmtheImageAuthentication.ImageAuthenticationDuring registrations client would need to select from the list of images forveri�icationofsites/server for future loginsandsamewill con�irmedduringeveryloginbyuserasshowninbelowwindow.


2FAAuthenticationSEBIhasmandated2FAauthenticationfor login.SEBIcircularnoCIR/MRD/DP/8/2011.Question based authentication/OTP (one time password) would beimplementedinAPPasa secondfactorofauthentication(2FA)bythesystem.Brokercanoptforanyoneoftheoption.AsanAuthenticationoftheserverbytheuser,imageswouldbedisplayedasabove.

ChangePasswordWhentheuserlogsinforthe�irsttimeorifthepasswordhasexpired,thefollowingmessagepromptwillbedisplayed.


WhentheuserclicksontheOKbutton,thewindowforresettingtheloginpasswordisdisplayedasfollows.

The user needs to type in the login and transaction old password, the newpassword, and con�irm the new password in the respective �ields provided. Onclicking on the ‘Change’ Button, the password gets reset and the followingcon�irmationmessagewillbedisplayed.


PasswordExpiryWarningThefollowingPasswordExpiryWarningMessagewillbedisplayed,threedaysbeforethepasswordisabouttoexpire.

PasswordPolicyFollowingisthepasswordpolicyfollowedintheKARVYMobileApplication:· Forencryptionofpasswordsweuse128bitencryptionkeywithaproprietary

logic, also have an option of storing it with 128bit encryption key and AES

Encryptionmethod.

· ThesystemrequestsanID&passwordforloggingin.

· Thepasswordisencryptedbeforetransmission.

· Thepasswordisstoredinanencryptedformatinthedatabase.

· Changeofpasswordismandatoryforthe�irsttimeuser.

· Changepasswordcannotbethesameasofthelast3passwords.

· User can not login after THREE consecutivewrong passwords & the user can

loginonlyafterthepasswordisresetbytheadministrator.

· Thepasswordshouldbeofminimum6characters&maximum12charactersin

length.

· ItmustbeAlphanumeric.

· The passwordwill be checked against the log-in ID. The login ID& password

cannotbethesame.


· Spaceisnotavalidcharacterinthepassword.

· Passwordexpiresautomaticallyafter14tradingdaysforci ngtheusertochoose

anewpassword.

· Passwordcanbechangedbytheusersatanytimeasperwill.

2.2 HomePage

After the user has successfully logged in, the following home page window getsdisplayed,wheretheuserhastheoptiontogetquotes,placeorders,createmarketwatch groups, create an indexwatch, view order book,Tradebook,Possition book,holdings,Limits,SetAlerts,Alerthistory,TopN,Indexdetails,Modify2FAquestions,userdetailsandsoon.

QuotesThe ‘Quotes’ feature enables the user to retrieve real-timequoteson securities. Itdisplays information such as Last TradedPrice, Best BuyRate andQuantity, Best SellRateandQuantity,PriceRangeandsoonfortheselectedsecurity.Userhasto


tap on particular scrip to retrieve below highlighted options (Get quote, MBP,ContractInfo,DeleteScrip)inmarketwatchwindow.

MBPThe‘MBP’featureenablestheusertoretrieve‘Best5Buy’&Best5Sell’informationonasecurities.

Contract-infoThe‘Contract-Info’featureenablestheusertoretrievedetailedinformationsuchassymbol, series,exchange, issuestartdate, Issuecapital, listngdateandsoonforasecurities.


DeleteScripThisoptioncanbeusedtodeletescripfrommarketwatch.MarketWatch

Ø CreateMarketWatch

The user can create a MarketWatch of scrips for which he wants to view latestmarketfeedsbyclickingonthe‘AddNew’buttonfromthe‘MarketWatch’window.

TheusermustentertheNamefortheMarketWatchthathewantstocreate.


Usermust select thedesired instruments,Exchange, Series,Enter theSymbol (eg:ACC),andclickon‘Add ’button.Apop-upmessagewillappeartocon�irmthatscriphavebeenaddedinthemarketwatchgroup(NSE).

Ø SetasDefault

Selectanymarketwatchfrom‘MarketWatch’optionandselectedmarketwatchwillbesetasdefault.


Ø DeleteMarketWatch

TheusercandeleteanexistingMarketWatchGroupbypressingandholdingtherequiredmarketwatchtobedeleted.

TradesWhentheuserclicksonthe‘MarketWatch’buttonintheHomePage,thefollowingwindowappears.


Intheabove‘MarketWatch’window,theusermustclickonthe‘Buy/Sell’optionunderspeci�icscrip,fromwherehewillbeabletoplaceorders;hemustclickon‘OrderBook’option,‘TradeBook’option,‘Positions’optiontoviewhisorderbook,tradebookandexistingpositions,respectively.

· Buy/SellinNSE

TheuserhastoclickontheBuy/Selloptiontoplaceorders,andthefollowingwindowappears.

TheuserwillbeabletoseeexchangeandsymbolloadedbydefaultanduserneedtoselectRetention(DAYor IOC),Producttype(CNC,MIS,NRML)andtheaction(BuyorSell)fromthedropdownprovided,enterthequantitytobebought/sold,selectthedesiredpricetype(Limit/Marketandsoon),entertheprice(if it’sa limitorder),enterthetriggerprice(incaseofstoplossorders),DisclosedQty(ifany)andclickon


‘Submit’. Onclickingsubmit,Thefollowing‘OrderCon�irmation’windowwillappearshowingthedetailsenteredintheBuy/Sellwindow.

After reviewing the order details, the user needs to scroll down in the ‘Ordercon�irmation’pageandclickon‘Submit’. Onclickingon‘Submit’, AnewwindowwillappearshowingtheorderdetailsalongwiththeAPPOrderNumber. Onceuserclick‘OK’,orderstatuscanbeviewedinOrderbook.


· Buy/SellinNSEFO

ToplaceorderinNSEFO,theusermustselecttheexchangeNSEFOfromthedropdownandselectdesiredscripandselectBuyorSell.

Onceuserselect ‘BuyorSell’option, followingwindowwillappear andexchangeandsymbolwillgetloadedbydefaultanduserneedtoselectRetention(DAY, IOCorCOL), Product type(MIS,NRML) and the action (Buy or Sell) from the drop downprovided,enterthequantity(*inlotsize)tobebought/sold,selectthedesiredpricetype(Limit/Marketandsoon),entertheprice(ifit’salimitorder),enterthetriggerprice(incaseofstoplossorders),DisclosedQty(ifany)andclickon‘Submit’.


Onclickingsubmit,thefollowing‘OrderCon�irmation’windowwillappearshowingthedetailsenteredintheBuy/Sellwindow.


Theusermustclickon‘Submit’afterreviewingthedetails.Oncethe‘Submit’buttonisclickedon,theordergetsplaced.Thefollowingwindowappears,displayingtheorderdetailsalongwiththeAPPOrderNumber.

Fromthiswindow,theusercanviewtheorderdetailsandorderstatusbyclickingon‘OrderBook’.


OrderTypes:

1. LimitOrder

Alimitorderisanordertobuyorsellasecurityataspeci�icprice.Abuylimitordercanonlybeexecutedat the limitpriceor lower,andasell limitordercanonlybeexecutedatthelimitpriceorhigher.E.g.IfthecurrentmarketpriceofIdeaCellularisRs.75&youwishtoBuyatRs.70orSellatRs.80,youhavetoplaceaLimitOrder. 2. MarketOrder

Amarketorder isanorder tobuyorsella stockat thecurrentmarketprice.Theadvantageofamarketorderisyouarealmostalwaysguaranteedyourorderwillbeexecuted.3. StopLossLimitOrder

Astop loss limitorderisanordertobuyasecurityatnomore(orsellatno less)than a speci�ied limit price. This gives the trader some control over the price atwhichthetradeisexecuted,butmaypreventtheorderfrombeingexecuted.Astoplossbuylimitordercanonlybeexecutedbytheexchangeatthelimitpriceorlower.Astoplossselllimitordercanonlybeexecutedatthelimitpriceorhigher.

E.g. [email protected] fall, incaseofpriceincrease,youcanlimitthelossbyplacingaStopLossBuyorder.IntheBuyScreenwecanputthetriggerprice@[email protected]'slasttradedpricerisesaboveRs.150,[email protected].

4. StopLossMarketOrder

Astoplossmarketorderisanordertobuyorsellasecurityatthecurrentmarketpriceprevailingatthetimethestoporderistriggered.Thistypeofstoplossordergivesthetradernocontroloverthepriceatwhichthetradewillbeexecuted.A sellstopmarketorderisanordertosellatthebestavailablepriceafterthepricegoesbelowthestopprice.Asellstoppriceisalwaysbelowthecurrentmarketprice.Abuy stopmarketorder is typicallyused to limit a loss (or toprotect anexistingpro�it)onashortsale.Abuystoppriceisalwaysabovethecurrentmarketprice.


OrderBookTheusercanviewdetailsofalltheordersplacedbyhimbyclickingon‘OrderBook’inthe‘HomePage’window.FromtheOrderBook,Theusercanvieworderdetails,modifyorder, cancelopenordersandvieworderhistoryasshowninbelowwindow.

OrderDetailsTheusercanselectaparticularorderforwhichherequirestheorderdetails.


OrderModi�icationTomodifyanorder,theusermustselectthe ‘ModifyOrder’optionfromtheorderbook. The following window appears to enter the new parameters for ordermodi�ication.


Thequantityand/orpriceoftheordercanbemodi�iedbytheuserbyenteringthenewdetails.Oncetheusermodifyorderandinputtransactionpasswordandclickson ‘Submit’, the following ‘OrderStatus’windowappearsandOnce theuserclickson‘OK’,themodi�iedordercanbeseenin‘OrderBook’

OrderCancellationTocancelanorder, theusermust select therequiredopenorder thatneeds tobecancelled,fromtheorderbookandselect‘cancelorder’. Thefollowing‘Con�irmationMessage’ will appear from where the user is required to con�irm the ordercancellation.


Whentheuserclickson‘OK’,theorderwill getcancelled,andthisstatuscanbecheckedintheOrderBook.

OrderHistoryTheusermust select ‘OrderHistory’ to view the historyof thatorder, that is, theuserwillbeabletoviewthecurrentstatusaswellasdetailsofeachandeverystepofthestatus,suchasOrdernumber,symbol,ordertype,buyorsell,quantityetc.


TradeBookTheusercanviewtheentirelistofalltradedordersandtheirdetailsbyclickingon‘TradeBook’inthe‘Home’window.TheusercanseeexchangewisetradedetailsinTradeBookWindow.

OrderDetails

The user can view the details of a particular trade by selecting that trade andclicking on ‘Details’. The details of that traded orderwill be displayed alongwithExchangeOrderNumber,TradedQuantity,Priceandsoon.


TradeHistory

The user can view the history of a particular trade by selecting that trade andclickingon‘TradeHistory’.Thefollowingwindowdisplayingthehistoryoftheorderalongwithprice,quantityandsoon,willappear.


PositionConvertion

User can also convert his position by selecting ‘ Position Convertion’ option inTradebook,whenuserselectthisoption,thefollowingwindowwillappear,whereuser can change the product type (likeNRML), Transaction type(buy or sell) andthenclickon‘Submit

Whentheuserclickson‘Submit’,Thefollowing‘Con�irmationMessage’willappear.

PositionBook

The user can view his positions by clicking on the ‘Position Book’ button in the‘Home’window.The followingwindowwillappear, fromwheretheusercanviewday-wiseaswellasnet-wisepositions,byselectingtheappropriateoption.


To viewpositionsdetails, theusermust select the requiredposition forwhichhewants position details and select ‘details’. The ‘Position Detail’ screen displaysExchange, Symbol, Net Qty, Net Amt, Product type, MtoM, BEP, LTP for everyposition.Italsodisplaystheday&net-wisepositions.


Squareoffisanoptionprovidedtotheusertoliquidatehisexistingposition.whenuser select ‘Square Off’ option in position book, The following ‘Con�irmationMessage’willappearfromwheretheuserisrequiredtocon�irmthesquareoff.

When the user clicks on ‘OK’, position will get squared off and following‘Con�irmationMessage’willappearinpositionbookwindow.


HoldingsThisoptionallowtheusertoviewhistotalholdingsacrosssecurities.

RiskManagement

Risk Management System can be con�igured to have following checks before theordersarereleasedtotheexchange.TradingLimits,Positionlimits,Exposuretakenbyclientbasedonriskassessment,credit quality and available margins of the client, Quantity Limits, Price RangeChecks,OrderValue,andCreditChecks.Various categories canbe set.According to the category,RMSvalidates theorder.Accordinglyitsendsaccept/rejectmessage.Risk Management System can be con�igured to have following checks before theordersarereleasedtotheexchange.Thecheckswhicharede�inedbyexchangew ithrespect to Algorithms are in place in the system.
