Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time
Speaking in Parables
In today’s Gospel Jesus explains the kingdom of God in a parable with a man scattering seed on the land and then with the mustard seed. There are many arti-cles and homilies given on parables. So why does Je-sus not simply say ‘you can not imagine this you are too simple minded, after all you are only human.’?
Obviously Jesus would never speak to us in such a manner and so He tries to help us wrap our minds around the length and breadth of The Kingdom. The seed can be our faith and do we really know how deep our faith is? Are we fair weather believers as long as everything is peachy we have faith? Can our faith be compared to a mighty 9’ Mustard Tree? How we im-agine our faith and then how we imagine the kingdom of God can be like comparing apples and oranges. We know that God is and was and is to come, we know with our heads the Alpha and the Omega, but, today what we need to consider is who is in our heart? When God is in our heart it does not matter what the length and breadth of the Kingdom is because it is contained within our heart. As we try to wrap our minds around heaven, faith, and loving God with all our hearts, minds and souls the answers are simple. We do not have to explain or make comparison, and statistical reports. The proof is in the pudding as they say and that is the “fruits” of our faith. With God in our hearts we have the ability to be generous, joyful, modest, and patient. Perhaps not all at once, but, God is there in everything we do since the beginning and to the end, guiding us from our hearts.

Hablar en Parábolas
En el Evangelio de hoy Jesús explica el reino de Dios en una parábola con un hombre la dispersión de las semillas en la tierra y luego con la semilla de mostaza. Hay muchos artículos y homilías dadas en parábolas. Entonces, ¿por qué Jesús no simplemente dice "no te puedes imaginar esto usted son demasiado sencillos, después de todo lo que es humano."?
Obviamente Jesús nunca nos hablan de una manera y así que intenta ayudarnos a envolver nuestras mentes en torno a lo largo y ancho del Reino. La semilla puede ser nuestra fe y realmente sabemos cuán profunda es nuestra fe? Somos justos creyentes meteorológica mientras todo esta bien con nuestra fe? Nuestra fe puede ser comparado a un poderoso árbol de mostaza de 9'? Cómo nos imagi-namos nuestra fe y luego cómo nos imaginamos el reino de Dios es como comparar manzanas y naranjas. Sabe-mos que Dios es y fue y es venir, sabemos con nuestros jefes el alfa y el Omega, pero hoy en día lo que tenemos que considerar es que hay en nuestro corazón? Cuando Dios está en nuestro corazón, no importa lo que la
longitud y anchura del Reino es porque está contenida dentro de nuestro corazón. Como tratamos de envolver nuestras mentes alrededor del cielo, la fe, y a amar a Dios con todo nuestro corazón, mente y alma las respuestas simples. No tenemos que explicar o hacer una compara-ción, e informes estadísticos. La prueba está en el pudín, como ellos dicen, y que los "frutos" de nuestra fe. Con Dios en nuestros corazones, tenemos la capacidad de ser generosos, alegres, modesto y paciente. Quizás no todos a la vez, pero, Dios está presente en todo lo que hacemos desde el comienzo y hasta el final, que nos guía en nuestros corazones.
