FAITH FORMATION
Prayer Partners
This weekend, Father introduced prayer partners before Mass in his homily. This is a
very simple way to lift each other up in prayer during Mass. Prayer is as old as Adam
and Eve who conversed with God. Moses interceded for the Israelites and many of
KingDavid’spersonalprayersbecameourPsalms.Whetheryouprayalotoralittle, silently or aloud, everyone can take part.
Here’s how it works: 1) Prior to the start of Mass, as we introduce ourselves to those sitting around us, ask one person
how you can pray for them.
2) They can respondwith a specific intention for them personally (yes, it is okay to ask forprayers for yourself, God delights in lavishing His love on you!)
3) ORtheymayaskforafamilymemberorfriend,(i.e.“Formysister”)4) OR they can respond “private intention.”God knows their request and you can add your
prayers for them.
5) You,inturn,alsorespondinoneofthesewaystothequestion:“HowcanIprayforyou?”
Thisexchangetakesabout10seconds.Please lift up the intention during Prayers of the Faithful and during the consecration.
Each week; new prayer partner and new intention.

The ROSARY…and God as THE ARTIST…
When God created the earth, He must have had fun and a big smile on His face. He began with an ever changinglandscapewithfourseasons.OnHiscanvas,Hecreatedthemagnificentblueskyanddotteditwithbillowing clouds, rainbows and ever-changing
shadows. He created the earth, sometimes black, sometimes brown and even red depending on where you are. He added colorful mountains, moving streams and large bodies of water. He created a myriad of flowersofunbelievablecolorsanddelicateshapes.AsHeponderedHisfinished landscape, could itbe thatHe lookedat thegreengrassandsaid, “something ismissing”?At thatpoint,Hesprinkledbeautiful littleyellowflowersovertheearth…wecallthemdandelions.Theleavesareverynutritious, thelittleflowerisdainty, andintheend, littlechildrencanblow on the lacy ball that remains and giggle in delight. As is the case withmanyofGod’screations, manhaslearnedto“despise”thedandelionand look down with disgust on the lawns that contains them. Just for today, keep your eyes open in search of one or more of these beautiful little flowers. Thank you, Lord, for the fantastic world that you havecreated for us.Remember, you and your family are always invited to take part in our weeklyRosaryforPeace,everySaturdayat4:35p.m.,justbeforeMass.
