Si tiene dos padrinos, tiene que ser un hombre y una mujer. Si están casados, deben estar casados por la Iglesia Católica, asistir regularmente a la Santa Misa del Domingo, y que estén viviendo su fe. Los padrinos no necesitan ser pareja. Si los padrinos son solteros, deben estar viviendo una vida honesta y casta (continencia, pureza). Las personas que viven con una pareja fuera del matrimonio no son elegibles para ser padrinos.

BUSINESS MANAGER POSITION:Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Parish in Upper Sandusky is announcing the opening of a full-time position for a business manager. A BS/BA degree or AS degree with five years’ experience in Business, Finance, Accounting or related business discipline from an accredited college is required. A good understanding of computers and the ability to learn various database software, such as ParishSoft, Payroll (DSC), VIRTUS and QuickBooks is needed.Salary is competitive and commensurate with education/experience. Position opening begins July 1, 2020. FORMED PICK OF THE WEEK :CONFESSION: THE FORGOTTEN SACRAMENTNow that the Sacrament of Reconciliation is becoming available to us, I reflect back on these past two months and realize that one of the things I missed
the most as I sheltered in place is Confessions. This is the reason for the FORMED PICK OF THE WEEK being on Confession. Whether we are able to receive this sacrament now that it is being offered at our Church, or if we are in a group that has to wait a bit longer because of the conditions of the virus, I thought this FORMED Pick of the Week will give us all a refresher in appreciating this great gift from God. The FORMED video I chose is called "Confession: The Forgotten Sacrament" (I guess it is called such because so many Catholics in the last 60 years have lost touch with this sacrament and its seriousness). It is a very beautiful video that shows God's love and mercy that is offered to us in this sacrament when we come to seek forgiveness. There are several other audios/videos on the Sacrament of Reconciliation on our FORMED platform if you wish to take advantage of them also.The Bible passage where Jesus instituted this sacrament to endure throughout human history is dear to my heart. In John 20:22-23, the Resurrected Jesus appears to his apostles who are behind locked doors out of fear that those who crucified Jesus will come after them. He says "Peace be with you" and he shows them the glorified wounds of the nails marks. Again he says "Peace be with you, as the Father has sent me, so I send you." He breathes on them. As he breathes on them, he says "Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive, are forgiven them, and those you retain are retained." The resurrected Lord - who had just taken our sins upon himself and conquered sin and eternal death by his death on the cross and resurrection - now gives his apostles (and their successors) the mission to apply that victory to repentant sinners throughout history in this sacrament.Let us thank God who is the Source of this Sacrament for hearing our prayers and contrition while we were (or, in many cases, still may be) unable to approach this sacrament and pray that this virus gets under control so we all may rejoice in this sacrament soon!To get your free subscription to FORMED (gifted to us by the Knights of Columbus):
