ST. BRIGID PARISH CYO BASKETBALL The Boy’s varsity team is having senior night to recognize the players that are graduating at their last home game this year. WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY The Diocese of Scranton will again participate in the worldwide Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which is celebrated each year in January. The Diocese will host an Ecumenical Celebration of God's Word on Monday, January 25th, at 12:10PM in the Cathedral of Saint Peter, Scranton. There will be no 12:10PM Mass that day in the Cathedral. All are welcome to attend. The Most Reverend Joseph C. Bambera, D.D., J.C.L., Bishop of Scranton, will preside, and Bishop Jeremiah Park of the Susquehanna Conference, Methodist Church will deliver the homily. Clergy and representatives from various Christian traditions and ecumenical agencies will be present. Liturgical music will be provided by All Saints Academy, Scranton.

4TH ANNUAL BREAKFAST FOR LIFE 4th Annual Breakfast for Life will be held Saturday, Jan. 30, at 8:30AM at the Montrose Bible Conference Lake Avenue Dining Hall in Montrose. Please join us as we remember Cindi Conaty, her life affirming values, and pray for our country to uphold the sanctity of an unborn child’s life. Breakfast is provided at no cost, however donations will be accepted for the Cindi Conaty Memorial Scholarship Fund. Presenter is Rebecca Kiessling, international pro-life speaker and attorney. She was conceived in rape and nearly aborted. Rebecca travels throughout North America and Europe to share her story with churches, youth groups, schools, and Right to Life organizations. She is a committed advocate for the vulnerable, unborn child and has encouraged many pregnant rape victims to choose life for their baby. WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION His Excellency, the Most Reverend Joseph C. Bambera, D.D., J.C.L., Bishop of Scranton, and the Office for Parish Life wish to invite couples celebrating their 25th or 50th wedding anniversary in 2016 to a diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass on Sunday, June 5th. The event includes a 2:30PM Mass at St. Peter’s Cathedral followed by a reception. Requests for an invitation, with a mailing address, should be made through your parish office before March 7th.
