As the days of
summer come to an end,
Moslah is now gearing
up for all of the fall
activities. Our Business
meetings resume, we
have Bingo and Games
Nights, fall parties and
the Circus to name
a few.
Congratulations to all the new Nobles
who attended our Ceremonial in August. I
know it was a special day for them, ending
with a very well executed Arch Presentation
followed by a Hawaiian Luau and casino
party. High Priest and Prophet Michael
Wallach and Membership Chairman Brett
Wiesner did an outstanding job planning a
very memorable day. I would like to thank
Noble Steve Wolfe and the Ceremonial
Divan along with all the units and Nobles
who worked so hard to make this one of the
best Ceremonials in years.
I invite you all to our next Temple
Business meeting that will be held on
Thursday, September 13 in the Grand
Ballroom. The Ladies are invited to come
and have dinner with their Noble.
Entertainment will follow dinner in the form
of our annual Circus skit, put on this year by
our Chief Rabban and Circus Chairman
Steve Jones and his Lady Deb and featuring
the 2012 Divan. Following the silliness and
fun designed to get us all in the mood for
the Circus, the Ladies will meet for a very
special program hosted by Assistant
Rabban’s Lady Linda Lee while the men
have their meeting.
Chief Rabban Steve Jones has been
working hard for months now to bring a
great Circus to Moslah. I am personally look-
ing forward to seeing the elephants, clowns
and all the great acts of the 70th annual
Moslah Shrine Circus to be held October 12
through 20.
As you can see, September and October
will be busy months. Moslah needs your
support and I look forward to seeing you
soon.
Yours in the Faith,
Patrick Bobbitt

Moslah HistoryPrior to 1914, Shriners in Fort Worth were a Shrine Club of that Temple
east of the Trinity River (Hella). In that year, Fort Worth’s Shriners were givendispensation to form a new Temple, Moslah. In 1915 we received our charterand officially were on our own. Since then, an incredible amount of history haswalked through the doors here. We owned a huge “mosque” on Lake Worthwhich burned in the early 20th century. We then led the way in the constructionof our Masonic Temple which opened in 1932. Our members have includedjudges, mayors, NFL football players and untold numbers of community civic andbusiness leaders. Our units have dominated TSA and we have contributed might-ily to the support of our Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Unfortunately, what we have not done well is preserve this rich history. Therefore, as part of our Centennial Celebration we hope to publish a very nicehard bound book of Moslah’s first hundred years. We are working with a localhistorical publishing house. It will feature lots of pictures and stories about ourorganization, our people and our units. To fund the project, we are hoping to“pre-sell” as many books as possible. Pre-sale price is $85.00. The final pub-lished price will probably be close to $100.00, so buy early. There is no risk toyou. If we cannot pre-sell enough books to make the project viable, all advanceorders will be refunded in full but we believe that this book will be published. Itwill make a great book for home, office reception book or gift to family andfriends, especially those connected to the Shrine.
To order, you may send in your check for $85 to the Moslah office or giveit to any of your Divan members. You may also call the Moslah office and givethem your credit card number. The sooner we get the necessary minimum number of orders the sooner we can get started, so please order soon, andmaybe even often!
Sincerely,Robert Lee & Michael Wallach
Please join us for an unforgettable eveningwith comedian Al Fike. You will not want to miss out on this chance to see this verytalented performer who has shared the stagewith Bob Hope, Lee Greenwood and othernotable celebrities.
Prepare to beentertained andinspired by aman who’sknown as “LivingProof God has aSense of Humor”.

Let’em Roll In ShreveportNovember 4-5
Get ready for a new destination this year, the
AAA Four Diamond El Dorado Resort and
Casino. Gamble at the best casino in
Shreveport and relax in a great hotel
room. Should you want to try your
luck elsewhere, Sam’s Town is right
around the corner. Nearby downtown Shreveport
provides great eating and shopping opportunities, as
well. We have negotiated a discounted rate for our
Four Diamond Hotel. However, the cost of bus
transportationwill be DOUBLE that of last year.
As a result, our cost for the trip will be somewhat
higher this year to pay for the buses.
The total cost for bus and hotel room will be
$235.00 for double occupancy (couple or 2 people
traveling together and
sharing a room)
$165.00 for single
occupancy
(one person
traveling and
rooming alone).
We will, again,
have great refreshments (including milk punch) to
make your bus journey an enjoyable adventure
hosted by your own Moslah Divan.

During the August Ceremonial, PC Parrish, PC Trimble and 1st.
Lt. Commander presented the Colors at the business meeting and at
the Arch Ceremonial. PC Parrish, PC Rumzek, PC Gibson, PC
Trimble, PC Davis, and 1st. Lt. Commander Clark did the Swords
for the presentation of the new nobles at the dinner that night.
Summer is over. We know what that means. The Circus is com-
ing to town Oct. 12-20. At our September meeting there will be a
sign-up sheet for working the Circus. All members should sign up to
work to sell programs. For safety, all the program cashiers will be
LOH men (who can add, which leaves the majority of us out). We
will also direct traffic on the special performances like we have done
in the past. We will meet in the Coliseum lobby at 9am on Oct. 12 to
go over duties. Anyone, any unit, can help. We will have further info
as we get closer to the Circus. Remember, it will cost you to park at
all the performances, even the special performances. Maybe we can
discuss at our September LOH meeting about the LOH paying for
the parking passes like we have done in the past for the volunteers
who work.
The Shrine Business meeting will be Sept.13 with Ladies invited
for the dinner and the annual Circus Kick-off Skit. (See Moslah
News July /August issue for further information.)
Oh yes, alerting all the LOH gambling members. The Casino bus
trip is in November this year (See page 5 or further information.).

What a great and fun summer we have
had filled with TSA competition, parades,
Ceremonial and parties. The luau ceremonial
was a blast. We are anticipating a great time
and many trophies from Obstacle in San
Antonio.
A big welcome to all the new Nobles who came in at the cere-
monial. Also, we welcome Chris Manning and his Lady Elizabeth to
the Car-Vette family. It is great to have them. It is really great to
have Chris, since he is big and strong enough to unload the cars.
If anyone is interested in having a lot of fun driving one of those
“little yellow cars,” all you need to do is contact President Ricky
Jennings at 817-597-0567 or Colonel Guy Tyra at 817-999-9718.
IN GOD WE TRUST.

The Mystic Wheels had their annual Ritual of the Pyramid in
July and were pleased to have Illustrious Sir Pat Bobbitt, Divan, and
Divan Ladies in attendance. It was a wildly fun and crazy evening as
our nine new members got their street names! Many thanks to all
who worked to make it possible and of course the Mystic Wheels
Mighty Art Players!
We had a fine turnout and a great time at the Ceremonial and
party that followed. We are very pleased to play a key role in the
event to welcome all the new nobles into Moslah. Congratulations to
all the new nobles. The Hawaiian theme was great!
Circus ad sales are blowing the doors off and we hope to do even
better than our record sales last year! Everyone is pushing hard.
We have a large team entered in TSMPA obstacle course
competition to defend our team and individual championships.
Updates next article.
Check out the MYSTIC WHEELS FACEBOOK page.
Hey Noble, are you looking for a unit home? Before you decide,
check out the Mystic Wheels. We are a very family oriented group
with the ladies and kids at all our events. We ride inexpensive open
wheel go karts, and we are very involved in all temple
activities. Call Mike Kelley 817-515-6714, James Johnson 817-733-
6417 or Brett Wiesner 817-360-7585 for information and to arrange
a visit. Come see why so many have chosen the Mystic Wheels. Still
the LARGEST and FRIENDLIEST motorized unit in Texas!

These summer months have kept the Flying Fez
hopping. We had no meeting for June, July or
August but we were very busy. Store fronts and
street corners saw a good turnout of volunteers.
We were in two parades for the 4th of July celebrations. We also had
a table at the GE Health Fair at Dallas Cowboys Stadium. We
focused on burn awareness and talked with many people about
Shrine Hospitals for Children. Our summer lunch meeting was well
attended and the fellowship was great. The highlight of this summer
was the bus trip to the Houston and Galveston Hospitals. We were
given VIP tours of both hospitals and talked at length with the many
people who do such great work for our kids. Spending the night at
the beachfront hotel in Galveston was relaxing. The restaurant we ate
at was quite good also. Big thanks go out to John & Lena Merk for
coordinating a fantastic tour. We participated in the Back2School
event at Will Rogers and helped 20,000 children get ready for school
with free school supplies. We had the opportunity to talk to hundreds
of families about Shrine Hospitals for Children. Many were told our
story for the first time. We have had 37 trips to the Shrine Hospitals
for Children in 2012.
If you are a Shriner with the time, we can use drivers. If you just
want to support us in our efforts, your presence will be a big boost.
Come join the Flying Fez if you want a very rewarding experience.

F L Y I N G F E ZOur LOH meeting will be on Sept.24. Dinner will be at 1830
hours and the meeting will be at 1930 hours or earlier.
May God bless those who have served and those who are now
serving in our military.

The unit has been very occupied with ad sales for
the circus that is just over the HORIZON! So far we
are hitting our goals and anticipate a successful
campaign for Noble Kenny Mattoon. Everybody is
busy with w**k (sorry- not supposed to use that word
in a family publication) - but we still need to get those
ads for the Circus Program turned in, too!! The summer has been hot
- but the Bedouins turned out for the parade in Granbury on July 4
and the Summer Ceremonial!!
Caliph Wallace has been quite busy this summer but still has
managed to keep us on track and on time! Sheik Mattoon is
hammering away at the membership to get ads done and of course,
Secretary Beck is paying the bills and taking names.
We extend our prayers to fellow Bedouins who have had
surgeries and problems this summer. Richard Luke has kept us
updated on Jerry Wyatt, J.R. Batesole, Gary Hawkins, Alford
Havens and Bill London, as well as family members.
