AllDesignandHorticulturalexhibitsshallbejudgedbyadesignatedteamofjudgesselectedbytheCanadaBloomsJudges'Convenors.2. JudgeswillnotbepermittedintheShowhallduringinstallation.3. NooneotherthanthoseauthorizedbytheShowCommitteewillbepermittedintothatareaoftheShowhallwherejudgingisinprogressandnoonemaydiscusstheexhibitswiththejudgespriortojudging.4. Freshnessofmaterial,alongwiththeproportionofthestemtothecultivarandconditionofthefoliage,whereapplicable,arelookedatcarefully. Floriferousnessreferstotheabundanceofflowersontheentireplant.Thequalityofcolourandsizeaswellasthenumberofflowers,isofimportance. Goodconditionandgroomingareimportant,andallentriesmustbefreeofpestsanddisease.Anydamagedfoliageshouldbecarefullyremovedsothatitdoesnotaffecttheoverallappearanceoftheexhibit. ItisimportantfortheexhibitortocheckinOntarioJudgingandExhibitingStandardsforHorticultureandFloralDesign(2003edition),alsoknownasOJES,fortheScaleofPointsforeachtypeofexhibit,e.g.FloweringBrancheshaveaScaleofPointsthatisquitedifferentthanthatforCactiandotherSucculents.Bycheckinginthispublication,youcouldendupwiththewinningentry!Itisreallya"mustdo". Saucersofcompatiblematerialshouldbebroughtwithpottedplantsandplacedunderthemfordrainage.
