  • Rules and Notes

    1 All exhibits must be exhibitor's own produce and work and produced within the areas indicated except classes 96 - 104

    2 Entries for the General Section to be with the Show Secretary by 13th July and will be judged in situ during the following 7 days

    3 Competitors may enter only one entry in any Class Prize winning exhibits in previous years are not eligible

    4 All entries must be made on the official entry form in each schedule and the declaration must be signed

    5 Entries to be staged by 10am on Saturday 15th August 2015 6 It is recommended that competitors stage suitable entries on

    plates, and all flowers in water 7 Competitors must use and complete the official competition label

    for each entry All labels must be tied to exhibits where possible 8 In judging no regard will be paid to the type of vase used 9 The judges decision is final They reserve the right to recommend

    the withholding or modifying of any of the prizes 10 Trophies will be presented by the Opener at 2.30pm 11 Entries must not be removed before 4.30pm 12 Any complaints must be made to the Secretary in writing

    The following trophies will be awarded: The Lady Rollo Cup for the Best Garden in Dunning The Jessie Bennie McGhie trophy to the Best Garden Rose Display The Catherine & Jimmy Dykes Salver to the Best Flower Garden

    A Silver Cup, gifted by Mr A M Howie to the competitor with the most points in the Vegetable Section

    "Garden News Shield" to the competitor with the most points in Class 24 (Shallots)

    A Silver Cup, gifted by Mr G Urquhart to the competitor with the most points in the Pot Plant Section

    A Silver Quaich to the competitor with the most points in the Flower Section

    A Silver Rose Bowl, gifted by Mrs C Corigall to the competitor with the most points in Classes 38 - 41 (Roses) The Borestone Salver, gifted by Mr & Mrs Carmichael, to the competitor with the most points in Classes 48 - 50 (Dahlias) A Silver Cup, gifted by Mrs I Hepburn, Findony, to the competitor with the most points in the Beginners' Section A Pewter Cup, gifted by Miss Catherine Fletcher to the competitor with the most points in the Cookery Section A Silver Cup, gifted by Mr & Mrs P Heriot Maitland to the competitor with the most points in the Handcraft Section A Silver Cup, gifted by Mrs MacKinnon to the competitor with the most points in the Decorative Section A Rose Bowl, gifted by Pat Wright to the competitor with the most points in the Children's Section Age 7 and Under A Silver Cup, gifted by Mr & Mrs J Smith, to the child with the most points in the Children's Section A Silver Cup, gifted by Mrs G B Sanderson, Keltie Castle, to the competitor with the most points in the Cookery and Handcraft Section

    The Lady Rolo Championship Silver Cup to the competitor with the most points overall

    The Vegetable, Pot Plants, Flowers, Fruit, Beginners, Cookery and Handcraft Sections are open to the Parishes of Dunning, Auchterarder (including Aberuthven), Blackford, Forteviot, Gask, Forgandenny and Bridge of Earn

    Judges may withhold prizes if quality is not up to standard If any Competitors tie with each other for a trophy, the one with the most first places takes precedence
