Dual Degree Program with TCMC
O Arrangement with The Commonwealth Medical
College in Scranton, PA guarantees seven seats
each year for qualified USciences students
O Student will complete four years at USciences
in any bachelor of science program and four
years at TCMC (eight years total)
O Both BS and MD degrees will be earned
O You are eligible to apply to this program after
you have completed the first undergraduate
year (U1) at USciences but not later than one
week after the end of the spring semester of
your second undergraduate year (U2)
Dual Degree Program with TCMCO Eligibility
O Minimum 1200 SAT score (math and verbal) or 25 ACT
(composite)
O Overall USciences GPA of 3.3 upon completion of the first
undergraduate year (U1), and a GPA of 3.5 upon completion of
the second undergraduate year (U2) at USciences
O No course grade lower than a “B”
O Qualified students will be interviewed by a pre-medical professions
team at USciences
O Students accepted into the program will gain a conditional
acceptance to TCMC
O 3.5 GPA (No grade lower than a “B”)
O 30 MCAT
O Interview at TCMC
Dual Degree Program with PCOM
O Arrangement with the Philadelphia College
of Osteopathic Medicine
O Two options: 1) accelerated seven-year
program (three + four) and 2) eight-year
program
O Both BS and DO degrees will be earned
O You are eligible to apply to this program
before the end of your freshman year (U1)
for the accelerated option or no later than
the end of the spring semester of your
second undergraduate year (U2) for the 8-
year program
Dual Degree Program with PCOMO Eligibility
O Minimum 1200 SAT score (math and verbal) or 25 ACT (composite)
O Overall USciences GPA of 3.3 upon completion of the first undergraduate year (U1)
O The seven-year accelerated program is open to only Biology majors
O Qualified students will be interviewed by a pre-medical professions team at USciences
O Students accepted into the program will gain a conditional acceptance to PCOM
O 3.5 GPA
O 24 MCAT

Medical Amnesty Policy
O Any student or University organization (hosting an event) that actively seeks to contact a member of the University Staff or certified emergency medical personnel for a medical emergency where their or another person’s health or safety may be in jeopardy will not be referred to the University Conduct Process as it relates to alcohol or other drugs
O No part of this policy will preempt any civil or criminal charges/proceedings brought forth by non-University parties
Signs of Alcohol PoisoningO Confusion
O Vomiting
O Seizures
O Slow breathing (< 8 breaths per minute)
O Irregular breathing (> 10 seconds between breaths)
O Blue-tinged or pale skin
O Low body temperature (hypothermia)
O Unconsciousness and cannot be roused
What to do?
O If you suspect an individual may be suffering
from alcohol poisoning, CALL FOR MEDICAL
ATTENTION
O Stay with the individual
O If you actively seek medical attention for
alcohol or drug related medical
emergencies, neither you nor the individual
will be referred to the University Conduct
