Dr. I. Nik Nevin. a native of Iran, has begun his work as head of the radiology department at St. Mary's Hospital. Certified in both diagnostic and therapeutic radiology, he is the first person ever to" serve in his specific medical capacity at the hospital here. Dr. Nevin came to Rhinelander from Duarte, Calif., where he was associate radiologist for the City of Hope National Medical Center for two years. Previous to that, from 1955 to 1957, he served as.di- rector of the radiology department for Nemazee Hospital, Shiraz, Iran. Born Christmas Day, 1922, Dr. Nevin received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Massachusetts and then completed his medical education at Yale University..He served his internship at the University of Vermont Hospital. After fulfilling his residency obligations in radiology at Massachusetts Memorial Hospital in Boston, Dr. Nevin received a fellowship in radiology at the University of Minnesota. He was graduated from the Minneapolis school with a master of science (M.S.) degree in 1955. Dr. Nevin is the author of several scientific papers. He is an associate of the Yale University Medical Library. Licensed in Wisconsin, California, Connecticut and New York, the radiologist is diplomat for the National Board of Medical Examiners and a member of the American College of Radiology. Married, and the father of two sons, Dr. Nevin lives with his family at 16 N.
