EPILEPSY ANSWERS
Do fits impair the memory? Do antiepileptic drugs cause
addiction? Does it hurt to have an EEG? These are some of the
questions commonly asked by epileptic patients and their relatives, and over 300 such questions are answered simply and clearly by DrP. M. Jeavons and Mr Alan Aspinall in The Epilepsy ReferenceBook, the latest in a useful series of comprehensive health books. The book explains the nature of epilepsy and how it is diagnosed andtreated, discusses fears and misunderstandings about the illness, and deals sympathetically with the difficulties facing epilepticpatients in everyday life. Action groups and clubs are listed and, forthe itinerant patient, there is a catalogue of epilepsy organisationsworld wide.
