Dr. Nicholas Hellmuth Director of FLAAR, lecturing about the iconography and symbolism of the Maya area Patolli, at the III Congreso Centroamericano de Arqueología in El Salva-dor “Fronteras, regiones y culturas en Centroamérica precolombina”.
This presentation is based on several years doing research on Maya iconography, Teoti- huacan iconography and the Patolli game board designs.
Archaeologist Antonieta Cajas (at the podium, back right) is the organizer of this Patolli presentation for FLAAR. She did the general introduction to the Aztec, Mixtec, and corpus of Patolli boards in Mesoamerica.

FLAAR and Nicholas Hellmuth have a family background in St Louis. So although we are international in our coverage, St Louis is where the US office tends to be located. So we start this report with a list of archaeology societies in St Louis.
