Purpose:

This position will work assisting the maintenance of the Final Assembly (FA) plant in Palmdale. Will ensure that plant

equipment: cranes, pumps, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC equipment is operating properly.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support efforts with sub-contractors while setting up equipment during the construction phase.

• Assist in repairing and/or replacing faulty lighting, ballasts, and switches in the office and warehouse areas.

• Assist in repairing or replacing piping associated with compressed air, water, and sewer lines for the facility.

• Assist production teams with trouble-shooting and repair of equipment in a timely manner.

• Perform preventative maintenance in an ongoing basis.

• Perform corrective maintenance as needed.

• Maintain and manage tools, supplies, and equipment that are assigned.

• Will be required to perform other duties as assigned in Final Assembly manufacturing plant as needed.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift 25 pounds over head.

• Ability to wear fall protection harness and be tethered 20 to 80 feet above ground while performing duties.

• Ability to kneel, stoop, and bend over, forward, and/or sideways numerous times during the work shift.

• Ability to crawl into tight spaces and work while laying on back/side.

Purpose:

This position will work to ensure interior components of rail cars are installed to meet customer

specifications and timelines.


• Installation of all interior components of rail car to include, but not be limited to the

following areas:

o Ceiling: trim, access covers, panels and lights

o Floor: coverings

o Window components

o Cab equipment: door frames, doors/desks/circuit breakers and

panels/seating/lights/baseboards/partitions/foot switches/brake panels and

coverings/heater/defroster diffusers and panels.

o Console equipment: TODs, ADU panels, and master controllers, etc.

• Responsible for ensuring previously installed items are not damaged during interior

Position: Inventory Control Lead Report to: Foreman – Inventory Management Salary: $25.75 – 27.87 per hour

Purpose:

This position will be ensuring that appropriate amounts of stock are maintained, to be able to meet customer demand without delay while keeping the costs associated with holding stock to a minimum. High level skill, knowledge, and organization are required to read drawings, handle material, investigate issues, communicate effectively with FA departments as well as vendors and customer.


• Performs responsibilities in accordance with Material Control FAP processes.• Performs investigations on materials and parts for suspected issues, and documents results per

procedures. Includes pictures and additional info as required.

• Monitor Bill of Materials (BOMs) and MP2 systems in order to track inventory in real time.

• Work with engineering department on design changes and part discrepancies as discovered in

blueprints and/or BOMs.

• Ensure inventory level of parts and materials and work with purchasing department and logistics

team to expedite delivery.

• Track major Audit items, for quarterly inventory’s as well as end of year summary.

• Track out of stock parts and equipment using FASTA and other Excel based tools.

• Cross referencing MP2 database and Material Control NCR tracker, to prevent issues, andprocess parts efficiently and correctly.

• Manage workgroup’s use of part, materials, tools, and equipment to ensure safety precautions

are taken and to prevent loss or misuse.

• Ensure that team adheres to production schedule.

• Conduct daily audits to confirm completion and/or progress of assigned tasks.

• Lead team and assist with uncovering and moving car shells into building and lifting cars to

appropriate heights for production activities.

• Ensure that all necessary materials and parts are on hand for technicians in order for team to be

productive at all times. Materials will need to be ordered in advance of scheduled work.

• Teach and assist technicians in reading and interpreting blueprints and work instructions.

• Train technicians and assist in proper installation of fiberglass, ceramic, and/or intumescent

insulation into car parts which include: side panels, roof, floor and sub-floor spaces.

• Train technicians and assist in the Installation of insulation for covers and wire supports.

• Train techs and assist in the installation of all conduit, copper and galvanized pipes.

• Teach techs and assist in the proper installation of cab area brackets for equipment and wire

Flooring will include: propulsion inverter, knife switch, air reservoirs, and auxiliary

power units.

• Train technicians and assist in properly installing all roof equipment: pantograph, HVAC and

brake resisters.

• Examine exterior tech’s work to ensure it meets quality standards prior to QA/QC/Metro

inspections.

Purpose:

The coordinator is responsible for issuing and tracking work orders, ensuring that required material is supplied to the production floor, as according to the production schedule. This position will track flow of materials, parts, and consumables between departments. This will be done in accordance to production and shipping schedules and/or department priorities. Primary Responsibilities:

• Review production schedule to assess upcoming needs of materials, parts, and consumables.

• Confer with department supervisors/leads to plan and order supplies.

• Identify items and parts that are overdue and address issue.

• Track orders, materials, and parts.

• Arrange transfer of materials to production floor as determined by production schedule.

• Prepare and process requisitions in accordance to needs and job priority.

Quality Control Function Tester QC Lead and QC Foreman $24.00 – 25.98 per hour

Purpose: Support final assembly of rail cars at Final Assembly site by ensuring Quality Control (QC) inspections are

performed on car body wiring and their electrical/mechanical components.


• Write reports and conduct procedural testing and inspections on LRVs.

• Maintain documents of all tests pending and completed.

• Test electrical, pneumatic, and software related functions of light rail vehicles (LRVs) in a timely manner as

established by production schedule.

• Troubleshoot electrical mechanical and pneumatic systems for possible issues.

• Disconnect and reconnect electrical plugs, connectors, and wires from electrical equipment, components and/or

boards in preparation for wiring continuity.

• Remove and reinstall equipment and ensures that all nuts and bolts are properly installed and torqued.

• Interpret and understand B902 and B901 Electrical Diagrams/ Drawings, also C401 mechanical drawings.

• Carry out visual inspections on all electrical/mechanical equipment and components including car body wiring.

• Responsible for updating test procedures (check sheets) and ensures necessary modifications are performed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Upload all applicable software on equipment on LRVs.

• Test wiring continuity on car body wires installed on P3010 vehicles in a timely manner as established by
