Introduction to SolidWorks: SolidWorks 1
Course information:Tuesdays and Thursdays, February 14 - April 13, 2017 (no class March 14 & 16)5:00 - 7:30 pm (8 weeks; 2 classes each week)

Cost: $1,295
This 40-hour class is intended to teach new users the basic tools of SolidWorks and good 3D modeling techniques. The course covers: The SolidWorks interface, basic part modeling, assemblies, drawings, and Simulation Express. This class is intended for people with no or limited SolidWorks training, however familiarity of the Windows OS is necessary. Instruction is focused on the processes of SolidWorks rather than the individual commands. At the conclusion of this course, students will have a good understanding of the SolidWorks interface and the most commonly used commands, and will posess all the required knowledge to pass the Certified SolidWorks Associate exam.

Instructor: Doug Kuhn – Kuhn Tool & Die Co.
Doug Kuhn started using SolidWorks daily in 2005 and has logged over 21,000 hours designing and making drawings in SW. He is fluent in other design software and is familiar with Pro-E, Siemens NX, AutoCAD, and MasterCAM. Kuhn has taught SolidWorks classes at Precision Manufacturing Institute on an as-needed basis since 2009.
