Although we continue to feel the impact of the ever weakening sterling, turbulence from the financial markets and in particular the jitters caused by the debt crisis in Ireland and across Southern Europe, we have recently seen the pre-recession problem of ‘lack of supply.’ International buyers continue to front a strong desire for top quality homes in Central London at prime addresses and this deficit in stock continues to push prices to levels unimaginable even before the credit crisis of 2007/2008.
