“We bought number 47 just over two years ago,” continues Beverley, “and at that time it was very run down and in need of a lot of work. We basically took it down to just three walls and completely rebuilt and remodelled it. It’s now unrecognisable.”

“We wanted to create a very modern, open plan house that would suit family life,” continues Beverley, “and so the heart of the home is the lovely big kitchen\dining and living area. It’s a very contemporary space with sleek units, clean lines and wooden flooring that uniforms the space. It also has all the mod cons, including under-floor heating, as well as floor-to-ceiling windows and bi-fold doors, so it’s extremely light and bright and can be opened up to the outside space when the weather is warm. We also created a separate study, which could easily be transformed into a playroom, as well as a large utility which allows for more storage in the kitchen.”

The spacious garden sweeps around the back and side of the house and provides areas for relaxation, al fresco dining as well as more than enough space for children to run and play to their hearts content. “We’ve added a patio area and decked seating area to the garden, and a feature wall to provide a focal point, but it’s still something of a blank canvass, ready for the new owners to either enhance or enjoy as it is. And it’s completely enclosed, so it’s a very private space and safe for children.”

This lovely home occupies a superb location that is not only extremely convenient, but also allows one easy access to the glorious Kent countryside. “Absolutely everything you could possibly want or need is within very easy reach,” says Beverley. “We have an infant and a junior school just the other side of the ford, we’re surrounded by an array of well-served towns and villages, and the transport links are second to none. But equally, if you just want to stroll through the countryside we have that too. It’s ideal.”

“Our plan was to make this house our new home,” says Beverley, “but our circumstances have changed and so it wasn’t meant to be. However, the house is beautiful, everything is brand new and just waiting for its new owners, and I can honestly say that the location has been wonderful; in my mind would be hard to better.”*
