St. Gregory Sunday School presents Vacation Bible School for children 5 years and older. The VBS begins Monday, June 26th and ends Friday June 30th, 2017. Children will

meet for dance, song, crafts, cooking, Bible study, and Armenian Language classes from 9:00am to 1:00pm with

20 minutes lunch period at 11:00am.

The theme this year is "Under the Sea" - "Jesus is the Living Water."

Cost is $40.00 for 'early' registration by June 1st and $50thereafter.

The Episode of AscensionAfter the miraculous ascension Jesus appeared before the Disciples numerous

times, sometimes singularly and sometimes collectively. The Evangelists have given many accounts and much testimony concerning these encounters. It took place on the 40th day, after the Resurrection. Jesus was with eleven Disciples, again, in the Upper Chamber, which had become virtually a regular meeting place.

He gave His final instructions to those who had remained loyal. It was an emotional moment. He advised them not to begin widespread teaching until the Descent of the Holy Spirit (Pentecost), when through it they would be endowed with new power and ability.

Then, visible only to the Disciples, he arose and went toward the Mount of Olives. Having reached its summit He stopped. He gave His farewell to all and pointed to the heaven whence He had come and where He would be going. Immediately, the Ascension began. The Disciples were fascinated by the scene. It was a sacred moment.

Only through the intervention of two angels were the Disciples restored to the immediacy and made aware of the new reality.

With the miraculous event of the Ascension, Jesus was completing His Godly mission, for which purpose He had become man, preached, was tortured, and finally with His blood, consecrated the salvation of mankind, to show the true LIFE and the WAY leading to it.

the Yegavian Hall, is a wonderful opportunity for parishioners to meet, greet and enjoy one another’s company. It’s truly one of the most important aspects of our community life, and is more than a time to enjoy coffee, tea and refreshments.

We have always relied on parishioners to host the Parish Fellowship Hour, for which we are grateful. In that tradition, we ask that any individual, couple, family or group of families to come forward and pledge their support in hosting Fellowship Hour on either a happy occasion or in memory of a loved one.

We take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers who have hosted the Parish Fellowship Hour thus far, as we encourage others to come forward and do likewise.

Vacation Bible School

At St. Gregory Church

St. Gregory Church in Pasadena is presenting its third annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) the week of June 26 through June 30th from 9a.m. to 12:30o.m. each day. This year's theme is Under the Sea, Jesus is the Living Water.

Classes in Armenian cooking, dancing, singing and arts and crafts will be coordinated with Bible study centered on the

theme.

Also offered each day will be a light snack mid morning.

The fee is $40 before June 1st and $50 until June 26th which will cover all material and food. Students ages 6

through 14 are encouraged to sign up early.
